    === SMIM / ENB requirement ===
    This mod can be used without SMIM and/or ENB. Please read the Description page (DESC tab) for the list of areas I have optimized that would boost without SMIM and/or ENB.

    === Light conflicting mods ===
    +- Aemer's Refuge: UPDATE - LeanWolf the author has fix this on his mod version 2.7.9.

    === Grass brightness dim as panned the view ===
    An old known Skyrim engine issue when the bShadowsOnGrass=1 flag is set. The game default bShadowsOnGrass=0 flag on your SkyrimPrefs.ini file will resolve this, but it may look "flat" around the grassy area when ENB is used.

    === ENB OcclusionCulling and The Skyrim Project Optimization mod ===
    ENB OcclusionCulling is for the exterior area only.
    ELFX pushed the Skyrim's light and shadow engine to the maximum limit for the visual HQ, and ENB's shadow correction fix calculation will show any badly optimized interior areas. The SPO added the occlusion culling "Plane Marker" to those poorly performing interior areas, and here's the performance statistic in the Riften Haelgas Bunkhouse with GTX 1070 and i7-3770 3.4Ghz.

    ELFX+ENB = 39fps
    ELFX+ENB+SPO = 47fps (20%)

    I added a room boundary to that interior area to tell ENB not calculate beyond that cell not visible, and a huge boost when SPO and this mod were used together.

    ELFX+ENB+SPO+UESE = 61fps (56%)

    The reason for my GTX 1070 could not achieve the high fps without this mod plus SPO is the Skyrim engine uses the CPU for the shadow calculation. This is why some of you with a high performance CPU above 4Ghz would see higher fps than someone like me with a high performance GPU but moderate/low performing CPU.

    @Skysan, what is the difference between SSE version and this version?
    This was updated slightly after the update to SSE version; ESPs are a bit different.
    Any ideas?

      The SSE version did not require all edits from this oldrim mod, and the SSE version was adjusted to work better with SSE and ELFX SSE.

    Hello. I read the description but i'm still wondering, is it safe to merge the newest version of this mod with TES5EDIT into ELFX main esp or ELFX enhancer?

    Update: I merged the fix esp with the ELFXEnhancer esp with TES5EDIT successfully, previously adding the attributes from the enhancer to the Skysan's fix.

    Easy endorse. Blackreach City was under 40 fps instantly when I entered, now it's also 40, but only when I do this - https://i.imgur.com/SjJ8ZRm.png . Otherwise, easy 60. Must have mod, wish I'd found out sooner.

    I'm getting a pretty major fps hit in Fort Greymoor. Down to 25fps. I have an r9 390 and i5 6600k, I'm also using NLA ENB. My fps shoots up whenever I disable ELFX in MO. I was wondering if you could help me out, thanks in advance.

      I'm getting steady 60fps with my I7-3770 and GTX 1070, and I kept my Skyrim shadow resolution to 2048. Please check these two lines in your SkyrimPrefs.ini file under your Documents/My Games/Skyrim directory. This is recommended by ELFX, so you should have already it.
      iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=1024
      iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=2048

      If you still experience the fps drop even with those, please try this mod v3.01.6.4 download that has the Fort Greymoor patch. I'll consider restoring that cell patch if it can raise more than 25% increase.

      Narrowed down the issue, thanks to you. I use Bethini to tweak my ini and for some reason it wasn't doing anything to the ini in MO. I copied and pasted the ini from my documents into my MO profile, worked like a charm. My performance basically doubled. Thank you

      Just wanted to hop in and say thanks for reminding me about that shadow tweak skysan, i totally forgot to do that this modded playthrough, fort greymoor was absolutely terrible for forgetting that shadow tweak. Cheers for the Tweak and the mod!
