This looks like the best version of Hearthfire Display Cases Fixes I've seen on the Nexus. I think I'll try it. What could possibly happen? I mean, there is no Unofficial Hearthfire Patch anymore and yet this mod still has a link to it...so that's odd. Very suspect. But the last update for Legendary Edition was indeed released before this mod, I believe. So that's good. I guess I'll try it. It will be the ninth mod I've installed to fix the display cases, and the 19th playthrough with broken display cases if it doesn't work.
Totally wrong, if you happen to have already build your house, just load your save while you're outside the house or go outside and come back, it will work fine
Doesn't work for me... Im Using USLEEP and place it after unnoficial high res patch but it still doesnt work.... I tried Disable/Enable but most dont even disable... :/ Help I NEED THIS
It works in that I can place my weapons into the cases now, but for some of them, they positioning is off. For example, if I place the blade of woe into the dagger cases, it feels slightly more toward the bottom and more noticeably toward the left of the case. If I place it in the small case upstairs (the one on the lowest compartment of the shelf), it pokes through the side of the display case. This is all in Lakeview Manor. Is this a problem you could fix?
The misplacement also occurs for the Ebony Blade (from the Daedric Quest "The Wispering Door"). It looks like the sword's guard is aligned with the left wall of display case, so basically the entire handle sticks out of it. It looks weird when placed in a weapon rack or a shield plaque as well, so maybe there's something wrong with the weapon itself?
Endorsed! This works perfectly, and I love it! It came perfectly as I had just installed Hearthfire finally, and built the home at Heljarchen. I thought I had been duped into building all those display cases until I accidentally found your mod.
I'm not sure if the mod author is still around or if anyone else has permission to make changes to this patch, but I wanted to see if this patch will be updated in lieu of the upcoming USLEEP release.
A display case acting like a weapon rack is much better then a display case that transports my items across the room. Thanks to everyone who made this important mod possible. It's how these things should've been made the first time.
How? I can still only open and close them. I did open a smaller one and when I have my focus in just the right spot I see an activate dagger rack message, but even when I have a dagger equipped and I hit E, nothing happens. I have tried both the mods, the original one and this more recent one, but neither seems to work for me. Funny, I read the message from Krucify that he wouldn't be responsible for cases that gobbled peoples weapons if they didn't follow directions, but I can;t find directions on how to use this. Just thought it would be cool if I could add some extras to my Hearthfire Home. Oh well.
I watched a YouTube video on one of the versions of this mod and they explained that if you already had display cases in your house before installing this mod, you will need to 1) remove any weapons or items currently store in the display case, 2) go into the console, 3) click the display case so you see the item ID displayed in the console window, 4) type disable and press enter, 5) without clicking or doing anything then type enable and press enter. This will cause the display case to respawn and it should then work correctly. I haven't tried this yet myself, so I can't vouch that it works, but I don't see why it wouldn't and it worked in the video.
