This is awesome, I'm going to use the rogue one cause that suits me best.
On a side note, I suck at the fighting aspects of the game and really like things like smithing... but if I raise my non-fighting skills too high, I level up and have to fight things beyond my (fighting-skills) level. Is there a way to lower the effect non-fighting skills have on levelling?
Just thought I would add that the bat rogue command did not work for me, I had to actually type bat "headstart_rogue.txt" quotes, underscore and all to get the command to work.
skylr, when do you use these in the console? I tried once on the cart to Helgen and once after being unbound at Helgen and I've noticed my skills being reset both times. I'm going to try after I reach Riverwood and see if it sticks from there on.
I love the idea behind this mod. Is their any chance you can make a mod that greatly reduces enchanting and armor smithing gains toward the main levels? I love smithing and enchanting but it causes my character to level so fast that even though i have amazing gear. I have no combat ability so i die easily.
It's pretty simple really... it's a skill that is almost entirely about reducing the impact of relatively boring and repetitive tasks which is the whole point (simplifies some dialogue, speeds up money generation, reduce time spent running around selling stuff).
I also found, on my first character, that if you sink a bunch of skill points in to these non-combat perks (to reduce the tedium) you will actually find yourself in a disadvantage in combat (thanks to the auto-leveling system). You can focus your early levels on crafting and non-combat quests and then stroll out in to the wilderness only to find yourself so weak by comparison to your enemies that you can't even get a chance to level your combat perks! Bah!
My philosophy has always been, "tedium is not the same as fun or a challenge". I'm all for a pure experience on my first play-through but I don't want to be bored doing repetitive tasks when I re-roll (mostly I just want the same engaging combat while I experience other aspects of the story).

It's far less game-breaking than popping open the console to toggle god-mode or noclip, IMO. This is absolutely not about making the game less challenging... just softening the tedious aspects when you re-roll (again, tedium is not necessarily fun or challenging).
On a side note, I don't touch Enchanting in these files because it's already game-breaking... you can legitimately make rest/dest cost zero magicka and just run around in a chef outfit perpetually healing with one hand while tossing fireballs around with the other. Nice one Bethesda!
I am a re-roller and this is gold XD Well, I like yes, but 80 to speech skill? Isn't that a bit over the top? I am not complaining mind you, gonna use it anyway, just wanna hear the general opinion.

Great, I'll use it for my next Khajit game. Thanks!
