Ocotillo- Wood Elf Occupation- Runner/Alchemist Level 12. Crouch running down a steep mountainside missed a turn and launched off a rock. He fell approximately 10 meters to his death and rag dolled down to the bottom of the mountain. He would have thought it was a cool way to die, if he hadn't died...

I play with all the SkyRe mods, making combat pretty fast and unforgiving. This is the furthest I've gotten, and this is my 9th character on this mod. He was recently named Archmage of the College, but got too power greedy going down the path of a vampire. I'd defeated Draugr Deathlord after Draugr Deathlord by careful kiting and calculation and really started to overestimate my power because of it. Figured I was so powerful I could take on anything. Got caught by one (read: one) guard in Morthal while eating his sleeping friend in the barracks. Figured it was just some guard and I was invincible so I just stood still while I torched him with fire. When he closed in on me he killed me in two fast hits with his sword.
To anyone playing, my first tip comes from this experience: don't grow complacent. Always stick to your battle plan in a fight, even if it's just some wolves on the road or some highwayman in rags. All it can take sometimes is a few well-placed strikes and that's it. Lost my 19-hour character to just that. Second tip: RUN. Got yourself in a situation where you're doubting yourself, even a small bit? Just. Run. Away. It's always better to live another day than to try something stupid to make a few coin or sneak in a little extra combat experience.

Chased by 3 wolves paniced and ran... Turned around and decided to fight said wolves while slowly taking a couple steps back.... Did not know that it was a dead end, took a stepped back loose balance fell off an icy cliff near winterhold. Shortest game I played fun though.
every time I die it's the same story- complacency after successful questing, usually mid-20s. I find myself falling back on a couple of particular skills and strategies despite my best effort to stick to strict roleplay.. I have one character that is still alive. an Orc with maxed Enchanting & Smithing so game-breakingly strong it kinda sucks the fun out everything..

I played with Requiem, Frostfall and RnD. The boss draugr killed me with a frost shout. I could have avoided my death by drinking better resist ice potion and my best healing potion. Being such a miser wasted 37 hours of my time. Well, next time I bring my fireball and three dremora archmages.
