I'm liking this, but my arrows are kinda ... flying below my crosshair. Is that intended? I have things set the way you recommend, all patched. Kind of annoying when I think I'm going to nail the mob and totally miss lol.
I had this issue and looked everywhere finally figured it was the Jaxonz Archery mod that allows you to customize the arrows "flight path" while in game.. only issue is every time I launch the game I have to find a target and zero my sights as it overrides the Skyrim.ini file
You do know that arrows fly in an arc in real life, don't you? Where's the fun in having your arrows ignore the laws of physics and fly in a straight line as if they don't have weight or friction?
this is a pretty interesting tweak, but it screws scoped bows... What's worst is that I am not really sure if it's safe to uninstall this mid-play-through...
It would be perfect if ppl making scoped bow meshes would position it for this tweak.. But I must digress that having absolute zero curving on arrows feels like cheating...
Hi, after using PerMa for a while, the gravity effect on the arrows bugged me for a while, so I loved to find your mod. I have a slight problem, however, in first person, it functions perfectly, but I prefer to play mostly in 3rd person, but long range archery is very difficult, as the arrow tends to fly above the crosshair and slightly to the left.
I'm using your suggested 0s edits on Skyrim.ini and I use PerMa and the Nock to Tip PerMa patch + this mod only that affect archery.
If you don't want to use centered camera or that does not work you will have to edit the ini settings yourself. The setting for 3rd person view for arrows is f3PArrowTiltUpAngle and for bolts is f3PBoltTiltUpAngle. Since you said "the arrow tends to fly above the crosshair" use a negative number, for example: f3PArrowTiltUpAngle=-0.5
I had a friend ask me to compile a MCM script for him about a year ago. I don't think he published it or I haven't seen it. Anyway it allowed you to change the ini settings for arrows while in game. I'll send him an e-mail and ask him what became of it, or maybe just write a new one.
Anyway I hope that helps. Let me know if you get it fixed.
Edit: I did some testing, I would recommend you get Customizable Camera Mod link above. And set the combat settings to horizontal 25, vertical -5. You may have to adjust this depending on what armor you wear. Perfect setting for archery is right behind your characters arm, but then you can't see what you are aiming at. Sleeveless armor may help you get a closer position to perfect.
So far these settings are working great but may need some adjusting. When I get the gravity worked out I'll update this post. Thanks for this great mod, I don't think I could use perma without it
It is now set to hit dead center at any range. (Although I did not test 3rd person shooting.) If you can try both settings I would appreciate it. Keep me informed of what you come up with.
i already have nock to tip as archery overhaul, and its confirmed compatible with perma. But nock to tip has different setting .ini, if use this perma arrow tweak mod, will it work with nock to tip with perma arrow tweak's setting .ini? or i only use nock to tip's setting .ini? *sorry bad english
If you are happy with the setting you have keep it. If your arrows hit above where you are aiming use my setting. Or you might have to come up with your own setting.
Yeah, I'm well-aware of the fact that your mod is not causing this. In fact, I had this problem previously and your mod seemed to have actually fixed most of the problem. Unfortunately it's still present.
I also ran PaMa, so I'm completely lost on this one.
(Edit) False alarm, it was the manual reload crossbow mod that was causing issues. I'm terribly terribly terribly sorry that I assumed your mod was doing this at first. Regardless of that, thanks for your mod.

I sometimes play and mod other games, if the versions do not match the best way to get in touch with me is Facebook or on my YouTube channel.
I solved the issue.

What mod are you using for scoped bows? I just loaded up game with scoped bows and it works fine.

Have you tried changing your 3rd person camera position to centered?
This mod shows you how to do it in your ini files: Centered Third Person Camera by PeterTran
And this file allows you to do it in MCM menu: Customizable Camera by Arindel

Adjust this in the XML Bluemax has created
Arrows 100% faster: 7200.00
Bolts 100% faster: 10800.00
ini settings
[Actor]
fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist=12288.0000
[Combat]
fMagnetismStrafeHeadingMult=0.0
fMagnetismLookingMult=0.0
f1PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.3
f3PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.8
f1PBoltTiltUpAngle=0.1
f3PBoltTiltUpAngle=0.2

Looks like a sniper setup there
I recommend the following settings with the latest version of my mod:
f1PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.0
f3PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.0
f1PBoltTiltUpAngle=0.0
f3PBoltTiltUpAngle=0.0
It is now set to hit dead center at any range. (Although I did not test 3rd person shooting.) If you can try both settings I would appreciate it. Keep me informed of what you come up with.

Did you run Patchus Maximus after installing this mod?
