    Performance Version RELEASED!
-Preset is identical to the standard release except some quality settings are reduced and some of the more taxing effects are turned off or tuned back considerably. I haven't tested the exact performance increase but it should be considerable. For something in between the two versions turn DoF and Reflections back on, as well as disabled parameters in Water and Underwater until you get the quality/performance balance you're happy with.

    Quick Note:
While the preset itself has not received any substantial updates for some time, it is still fully compatible and current with ENB binary 0.290 which, at the time of writing, is the latest. If you have any issues using that binary, please leave me a comment! Another update will be forthcoming once I get over The Witcher 3 which has stolen my gaming time for now.

    Enjoy!

Also, for latest WIP screenshots, and occasionally other games, check out my Flickr Page!

A compatibility patch for Opethfeldt 7beta3 ENB with True Storms is made available on this page. It will be removed from here if and when Opethfeldt is able to host it on his own page. Use the Lumen Patch for use with this preset.

It occurred to me after uploading that for Night-eye to work as intended you might need one of the night eye .esp plugins from the Enhanced Night Eye for ENB page (vanilla or predator vision plugin). I haven't tested it without the plugin so if it works without, let me know. Thanks! Here's the link: ENEE

    TECH DEMOS:
tapioks, creator of SKYRIM ENHANCED SHADERS, the first ENB preset released on the Nexus, has recently been making some Tech Demos of some of the more overlooked features of ENBseries. Take a look, especially at the Reflections video, and see what ENB is really doing to make your game look amazing!

What's the performance hit on my i5 3470, 8GB RAM and gtx 750ti?
Play on 16*9 res, 2k textures installed.

The performance hit will be fairly significant if 16x9 is 1920x1080. I estimate 25-30 FPS on that rig and that's using the Performance version. It'll look good though!

Great! I play on 1600x900 res, my gpu can't handle 1080p, and may if i ask u one more thing, i can't find ver .266 enb binary, so is it okay to use .262 or .292?
      Thanks, bruh.

Tested this out with both Alternate Start and Skyrim Unbound. The regular interiors are realistically dark but the dungeons are incredibly bright, on par with vanilla. Did I do something wrong?

If you have ELE and Relighting Skyrim installed the dungeons should be darker than regular interiors but not a lot darker. The game views all interiors the same so a balance had to be made between them and I opted to favor visibility and playability over realistically dark dungeons and absurdly dark regular interiors.

This preset looks really great. The only thing holding it back in my eyes is how "bloomy" the fire looks (forgive my lack of expert verbage). I haven't actually played with your preset but just going from Hodi's video. Nice work on this though!

Thanks! If that's too much you can decrease the fire intensity or turn off lens effects. I'm not sure which it is you dislike but when I was last playing a month or so ago I actually turned off the lens effects to remove the ALF.

Hey is the suggested option for GPU on 1080p or lower resolution? I tried both presets and barely any difference in fps, BUT i lose about 25-10fps so some areas im in the 30s, and some in the 40s (outside, indoors or dungeons i mostly get 60fps) I know reflections is heavy and so is AO, but with both disabled i only get about 8 more fps. I have a GTX 960m ( just a tiny bit slower than a GTX 750 ti) and to have is smooth enough, i have to play on 720p which makes everything too blurry, so looking at suggested gpu, I'm wondering if there's something that was done to achieve smooth gameplay of this gpu. Made sure it wasn't other mods by disabling all landscape mods including textures, also, went though enb's ini and configure for my gpu.

This preset is and always has been pretty performance heavy. The requirements I listed are to get 30fps average. If I ever get to doing a proper update (which is still a plan, but it's very much on the back burner, I just don't have as much time anymore) then perhaps I can improve the performance. That said, as hardware gets more powerful, the need for better performing ENB presets decreases. I wish I had better news for you. If you enjoy the look and can deal with 30-40fps, then I hope you enjoy it!

Damn, the only thing that really draws me to Enb is the magic spells special effects, they look incredibly good. Thanks for the response tho.

Am returning after a break from skyrim, with a fresh install of a bunch of mods. Had Lumen on my last playhrough and absolutely loved it, so went and installed it again for this go around. Had a mini-panic attack when my game wouldn't stop crashing, deleted the d3d9 file though and it worked perfectly. Am working my way through the recommended mods on the list too and am thoroughly enjoying things.

Well, you need d3d9.dll in order for the ENB to work at all... that's the file containing all of the rendering code...

This preset does hit performance pretty hard and it always has. The one area you could reduce quality is in Skylighting. Change Quality and FilterQuality to 2 to get some performance back. Lower quality Skylighting can introduce bugs (if I remember correctly) so that's why I left it at 0. Other than that, you can start turning off some effects until it gets to the performance you want. Do note that if you play with VSync on, most of the time you're locked to 30(ish) fps anyways, so anything in the 30's doesn't really change things.

i finally switched from opethfeltd to this enb and its very very good, but i have 2 little problems :o
at daytime when the sun is high up and i look up, the display gets a little darker and when i look down it gets brighter and brighter, its not that noticable, but it has to be reversed, hasnt it?
my other little problem is, that for example the destruction spell lets the display flicker in the rhythm of the fire :o

i hope someone can help me :o

Hey Jaffin after using Opethfeldt for years , decided to try your preset. Its pretty neat, but do you know how to lower flame spell brightness? When I cast a flame spell in a cave or at night, everything becomes too dark and flame textures become invisible due to extreme glow... Can you help.

Well... The easiest and probably best way is to decrease Fire Intensity in the GUI. It does NOT need to be adjusted per weather, so that's good. Fires will lose their fairly unique brightness and intensity, unfortunately. The real issue is with adaptation. When I started working from Opethfeldt's, I toned it down significantly, but it's still rather extreme. The difficulty is that the whole preset (mine and Opeth's that I started working from) is heavily balanced around adaptation and any changes effect the look of the preset as a whole. It's still something I plan to address and work on as this is still in development and getting updates (technically). I've been on a Skyrim hiatus for awhile though since I got mod dev burnout. It might be time to start getting back to it though... hmmm...

So I'm new to this whole ENB stuff and decided to start with a clean install. I've SkyUI and the Unofficial patches/textures but that's it. Should I install those required/recommended mods for this preset before or after? Also if there are any conflicts with multiple things altering something I assume give preference to the ENB data?

If you're starting with a clean install, I would simply install the ENB data last. The only thing you should have any issue with is some of the meshes. The only mods you NEED for this ENB to work properly are the Required Mods. The Recommended Mods are just that, recommended. They're mods I use, and used when making the preset. Other texture mods and the like should be just fine if you prefer those. I strongly recommend using one of the two Cloud retextures as they do effect how light looks coming through the clouds, and I also highly recommend Realistic Water Two w/ Watercolor mod as well. I've tested a few other water mods with my preset and they looked kinda funny to me. It's been awhile since I did though and maybe there's been some change. If you do run into a conflict, I would give the ENB data preference just to be safe.

Thanks man that helps a lot. And after I install True Storms then install your patch and replace the true storms .esp with your patch one or, then the ENB or vice versa? I'm not the most experienced in this so I'm trying to make sure I measure twice and cut once, so to speak. Since I'm running a 660 Ti I'm assuming the full version will be a bit too much to handle.

You can try the full preset and see how it handles. Or just go right to performance.

Install True Storms, then install the compatibility patch and load it after. The patch doesn't have True Storms as a master file but it IS needed to run properly. LumenWeather.esp should be loaded before either of those files.

Thanks man it works like a charm, but I definitely need the performance version. Surprised the dark parts of dungeons were as visible as they were though.

Hello! I really like this ENB, but I am very sensitive when it comes to bloom. I could just turn it off, but I kind of like this bloom and dont want to lose it completely.
Is there a way to globally turn down the amount of bloom or do I have to go trough each weather ini and set them all manually? Thanks!

You can try playing with the Bloom Radii in the enbbloom.fx file. Just open the GUI, click the ENBBLOOM.FX tab in the right pane and playing with those a bit. Otherwise you will need to go through each weather .ini... and there's a lot of them. You might try turning off the lens effects too. Those sometimes seem like bloom or enhance/increase the already existing bloom effects. It's been awhile since I played with the lens effects so I'd have to go back and do some testing to be sure what'd work there.
