No there's not and it would look rather weird if I upscaled this to a sword size as the model was created with the intention of being a dagger and not a sword.
Aha so it does have a specific name! Thanks for mentioning it, however It's a bit hard to alter it now with the deadline of the contest, but perhaps we'll change it after the results are out!
Yes indeed, at first we were searching the correct name for it but lacked finding it under "twodent" so just decided to go for that. Now we decided to keep it as it has an unique touch to it.
But yea it should've been bident if we would've named it correctly.
College is pretty much sucking up all my spare time, so I won't be modding too much if it's not for contests or so, once I get more free time I'll finish up my current on hold projects which includes the Fullbring Zangetsu from Bleach, the EE-3 Carbine Rifle, the dagger from Shangri-la, the dagger + shield from the last season of "The world god only knows", the main sword of Date a live, Durandal - Senki Zesshou Symphogear Meteoroid-Falling, Burning, and Disappear and even the Dark Repulsor!
But yea college is currently more important than my hobby, but I'm sure to release those projects some time in the future!
The why not of not having one would be that we had a time limit for the contest and focused on the dagger and not other esthetics, however for the personal opinion it's because it would either just be a latch like the iron sword or something very round like the scabbard of a Jagdkommando Tridagger or similar.
As both weren't kept in mind with creating this dagger and with the lack of time we just didn't even think about one after you mentioned it to be honest.
We might change it after the results have been released but that's up to 4Echo (the modeler of this dagger).
If we would make a scabbard for this dagger, how do you picture it?
