Thanks for taking the time to do this, important stuff to read (and will probably increase my need for new vcard).
I'll do some testing soon. kudos

Well made, thanks. You could add some more screenshots. You should also correct the heading ["EMB" into "ENB"].

I'm still a noob at ENB things, and wanted to try making my own preset as all presets in nexus seem to be too dark for my taste, so this guide has saved my life, thanks!

I'm having two little problems, maybe you could enlighten me.

The first is that my DoF is not working. At all. I've made all config in your guide, and tried some things that I've seen while doing some research, nothing works. I really don't wanna go back to Dynavision, that thing is annoying as hell (and the reason why I'm trying enb in the first place)

The second is that for some strange reason the flames of all candles seem to be gone after I did the changes in fire and particles that you recommend in the guide, they just vanished. Could it be ELFX?

Any thought would help me a lot.

I found out why the flames were gone, your suggested settings were too high for my set of colors, i fixed that.

But DoF isn't working fine yet, so any idea will be great.

      Thanks in advance.

First be sure your ENB is working, by bringing up the ENB interface (SHIFT+ENTER).

DoF can disappear if you had a previous ENB and did not not uninstall it properly before installing your current ENB. If that may be your case, try removing all possible ENB files "manually" by extracting the previous ENB file, and looking at all the files and folders used, then deleting them one by one from your Skyrim folder. Another possibility is that your ENB .dll file is no good for your system, so try removing that ENB and going to http://enbdev.com/download_mod_tesskyrim.htmand getting a newer or older ENB dll file (ONLY CHANGE THE .dll FILE, FROM THE WRAPPER VERSION). I personally use version v.254, which is what I recommended in my instructions. As for your candles disappearing and fires missing, different ENB's will have different effects on the settings I provided. For example, RealVision ENB will have a different effect on candles than Sharpshooters' ENB would. Try experimenting with the ENB ini files by downloading and trying the ones I provide in my ENB preset. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59286/?

Let me know how it goes.

I've been meaning to endorse and thank you for this btw. Been using it practically since the day it went up. More people could benefit from reading these guides as well so as to better understand the full picture of what they're working with. Cheers.

This is wisdom indeed! So few people think it worthwhile to read such tutorials. Unfortunate for them however, that their eyes failed to spot this sweet pot of gold. I love this guide, and all the personal notes I have made. Cheers my friend.

Thank you for putting this PDF. guide out. I will take the time to read it, although at this time I am quite sure that if I start using ENB it will put me out of the game till I can buy a better computer. My FPS is very high but I have to do a script cleaning or start a new game. Priorities suggest to fix the most important stuff first.

I have downloaded your guide and will endorse.

      You're welcome Onelazybattlemaga!

With the Skyrim Performance Booster, almost any computer will run better. I recommend you carefully read the pdf that comes with the Patch, if you have script issues.

Hi, I'm a little new to ENBs and I just wanted to know which would be the 'best' choice to utilize in regards to aesthetics. I've went over a couple to get a general gist, but still unsure which would make the environment/world look its absolute supreme.

That is a matter of taste. But The best of ENB always gives you as many options as possible to "configure" SKyrim to look the way you like. I chose Sharpshooters ENB because he had the best setup for letting me get in and change the way Skyrim looked RealVision ENB is also good, but I had technical problems getting something in it to work. I will Upload My prests Here also. Maybe you will try them.

I have to admit now, there are some darn good ENB's coming out, from people with deep-space knowledge of ENB technology. I have found at least one which I like better than Sharpshooter's ENB, BUT, ONLY AFTER I MADE CUSTOM MODIFICATIONS TO THE ENB INSTALLATION. After that....wow......wooow.........
