    It's possible, just extremely processor intensive, hence why games generally don't do it all that often.

    Is it not possible to have real reflections on objects in the game?, like how it does for water reflections.

    Yes, that's about it. Often you have to blur them considerably, exactly because the fake-reflection and the real surroundings don't match.

    I'd be interested in knowing if we can get HDR-bright flares on glasses with these HDRs.

    These are cubemaps which I think control reflections in textures. They just simulate reflections but in actual fact the reflection is a picture of a totally different location to the area which should be reflected.

    So cubemaps are just fake reflections basically.

    I have a legitimate question, though. Since I am not a modder, please forgive me, but what would these be used for?
