I will not be updating this mod any further. Not for Hunterborn or anything else, nor is there likely to be a Non-DLC version. I don't use this account any more, and I'm far too busy with school and other obligations to mod it. However, I'll leave it up for anyone who wants it. If you want to update it yourself and share it, make sure to ask my permission before you do. Sorry everyone, I simply don't have the time for modding anymore.
Instructions on Making this Patch Work with Frostfall 3.0: =======================================================================================================
As you may have noticed this patch was designed to work with legacy frostfall 2.6 and is no longer under development. When you install it, it doesn't work because it's looking for chesko_frostfall.esp and the new Frostfall version uses the name frostfall.esp. As animegirl12249 indicated, with the exception of new recipies, there's no reason why this shouldn't work with the newer versions of Hunterborn/Frostfall. The suggested solution of renaming frostfall.esp to chesko_frostfall.esp, on the other hand, will not work: campfire mod was built for frostfall 3 and checks for it by name (frostfall.esp). If you change Frostfall's esp name to chesko_frostfall.esp, Campfire will think you have an old version of Frostfall and refuse to work.
Solution: ======== Instead of trying to rename the frostfall.esp, I used TESVedit to edit the header file of Hunterborn - RND - Frostfall Patch and changed the chesko_frosfall.esp Master File entry to frosfall.esp. That's it. No more CTDs. It seems to be working now. I've just figured this fix out, so I haven't fully test how well the new mods play with this old patch. I'll test it for a while and give you guys an update later.
I know there's a current Hunterborn Campfire patch but it's missing RND support, so frostfall/hunterborn recipies don't satisfy any of your needs (meaning that if you eat meat you hunted and cooked at a fire, it won't decrease your hunger or if you drink hot frostfall tea to warm up, it won't decrease your thirst. This patch seems to have resolved this quite nicely (although not all the recipies are covered).
Update: ================ Tested for about a day of gameplay. Does not seem to have any issue beyond some missing recipes and food items that have been introduced to the newer mods.
Update: Warm Drinks Not Working but this Patch has nothing to with that. =====================================
After further testing, I had initially found that the warm drinks/teas were not working properly (aka drinking teas was not reducing exposure) and had assumed that this patch was responsible for that seeing how this patch handles food among other things. I was wrong about that. Even after I had disabled this patch, the tea issue was still persisting.
I have to ask... Are you a teacher at Nobel?? I ask because I was a student there many years ago and had a teacher named Miss Quinn. Could the world be so small?
Hello, I find a constant problem. As I hunt, time passes. As I perform field dressings and such, needs also progress. This means that while I'm hunting, I get desperately hungry and weak. Is there a way to fix this aside from manual methods (disable, skin, re-enable)? Thank you
Really hoping someone takes over working on this, love these three mods and without this one they just don't work well together. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/64934/ This only solves part of the problem.
Keep getting file missing Chesko_Frostfall, i've seen a previous exactly like this and downloaded that specific patch but yet same error occurs? I'm using both NMM and Loot - to point out these errors, have yet to come upon a solution, can you help in this situation, i've frostfall installed of course, latest versions of skyrim and the mods? All DLC and i've campfire mod, complete edition plus the patch you mentioned.
Delete the hunterborn/rnd patch, and yes, technically it's outdated, but should still work, it's just that any newer food items added in Hunterborn from versions after 1.4 won't be affected by RND or Frostfall effects.

So how do I edit Hunterborn - RND - Frostfall to look to Frostfall.esp if the patch itself won't load into Tes5Edit?
I ask because I was a student there many years ago and had a teacher named Miss Quinn.

Thank you
That would be awesome.
Also do I have to delete anything
