    Regarding Skyrim Special Edition:
I have no desire to port this to SSE. Should anyone wish to port and support this mod, feel free.

Updated to include Magelight since much of Magelight was affected by changes for Candlelight. Due note that I left Magelight at having a larger whiter center than Candlelight because it is a more powefull spell....

You can read that as I was unable to make full modification to the impact light. Not sure why at this time.

    Hey, I like it!

Can you do exactly the same thing with Magelight spell?
Right now the magelight looks like vanilla, but emmits red light.

    Thanks.

I'm guessing then that this affects Magelight as well?

Wasn't planning on it as I've not used Magelight yet in the play through with Pure Weather. I'll need to confirm the conflict. If necessary I'll need to find the NIF files used and edit the color emitted.

Thanks for the update with magelight
Now the magelight reminds me of a "Blood Star" spell from Diablo, used by succubus monsters. Except that spell did damage and the ball of light disappeared after hitting a target or wall, lol

The only minor "bug" is the magelight chages color back to the vanilla one after hitting wall. It becomes bright blue-ish ball, but still emmits red light. Nothing major, but I thought I will let you know.

I am aware of the "change" when magelight hits the wall. If you look closely at the orb you'll see the reddish lines radiating out from the bluish white. Nothing I did reduced the size of the white or changed its color. Thus I explained it away as a larger nucleus of light due to magelight being a more powerful spell.

Interesting side note, if you hit an actor or corpse with magelight the orb becomes a candlelight orb.

      So, don't be that guy

I didn't want new spells. I simply wanted a replacement modification for the stock spell. It is much easier for me to make what I want when it is within my understanding than it is to scour the web looking for something close to it.

For the actual lights that are cast from the respective spells.

Simply changing the emitted color of the nif files is not enough. That changes how the balls of light look but does not affect the light that shines from them. Thus the ESP is necessary.
