    I would like to see the reverse of this. Long press to add to inventory, short press to equip.

    Is there a port of this for Special Edition? This mod is what I've been looking for ever since I played Borderlands that also has a fast equip feature by hold the interact button.

    An alternate condition for fast equipping that would match borderlands is to fast equip when unsheathing so that its not limited to combat.

    This mod is completely unnecessary. Any mod that "adds" an already existing feature to the game is unnecessary. You can just hold down shift when looting any weapon or armor from any container and it equips automatically.

    I use Equipable Misc Item and Handyman so now I can use jugs samsh some head in combat. that is very cooooooool

    Yes, this works with Skyrim SE with Skyrim Key Helper and with left click as activate and enter as right attack. I have done little testing and I do not know scripting enough to say this is a good idea. Will this work with mods that convert items to weapons? I have 3 ready for testing.

    Just back from Riverwood. Ognar is not happy. I stole a mug and smacked everyone in there. Now I need a way to be all cool and throw it on the ground when done. I used Creative Weapon Use mod for the mug and such.

    Back again. I was in Thawnie, took an arrow there. I suppose I should mention this too. This will be more useful and immersive with Loot and Degredation mod. Often my weapon breaks and I need a weapon fast.

    Remember this will not work on a weapon from a dead NPC because shows as the NPC. I doubt there is a fix but if anyone has an idea message me. Also I would like a version that this always works with or without being in combat. We have the script latency tester by Elephant and should be ok with always script?

    This is really useful with SkyrimSouls (unpaused game menus)! I always hated getting disarmed, and then having to disengage just to navigate the inventory to re-equip my weapon.

    The 'only in combat' aspect of the script is also quite useful. This will probably be a staple of my future playthroughs. Thanks for sharing!

    I would very much like a version of this that allowed me to equip any item from the world regardless of whether you were in combat. I would also like it if it did not rely on SKSE so it would be compatible with the Special Edition.

    It would be great to sit down at a table and eat the food off the plate without juggling the crappy inventory. Knock a shield out of your opponent's hand and catch, following up by bashing him in the face with his own shield.

    I would also like it to be based on a button combination instead of a long press because I dislike delayed actions. How about run/walk + activate? I would even settle for it being an equippable power from the power menu.

    2.0 doesn't work. long holding picks it up like moving it around. Describe what u mean by long pressing. sounds like holding the button down if u ask me.

    nvm: I found that it actually work. Just only in combat

    Like the mod overall, but one thing about it is really annoying. Whenever I pick up an arrow, my character equips it as if it were a melee weapon -_-

      Man, you still here? I tried to fix it by myself, but I know nothing about scripting, so I can't understand how to make the game identify picked object as arrow, so I am really waiting for a fix. please((

      I find something strange, in my test the player won't equip arrows. Weapon's type number is 41, Ammo's type number is 42, so I don't know why you have this problem.
      Maybe you should do a strict test like this :
      Uninstall all other mods except this, then in game main menu use console input : coc qasmoke (or other locations) ,to do a test .
      If the problem still exists...I don't know, it seems impossible .
