I went ahead and did it. I made a SWAP.ini file to replace the vanilla clutter to weapons. I also converted the esp to form 44 and optimized the nifs for Special Edition Download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eTKFd_MTficLS609rOyTKXd9FdlsztJD/view?usp=sharing
Hello, I'm not sure if anyone else is having this problem but the mod isn't working for me. Also I'm very use to mods now but I am by no means an expert. Using MO I install the mod, went to the download tab and double clicked to install. A box appears with red wording on the bottom saying, "No game data on top level". There's also a scroll down tab that lets me chose 4 options: Creative Weapon Use; ENS; ENS - Creative Weapon Use 1.02; and ENS - Creative Weapon Use 1.02-58769-1-02 (I assume these are just options of which version of the mod to install based on what mod manager I'm using or what other mods I have installed?).
If I click "okay" after selecting any of these a smaller box appears and says, "Continue? This mod was probably NOT set up correctly, most likely it will NOT work. You should first correct the directory layout using the content-tree." and then the options to ignore and continue downloading or to cancel. Thing is, I did what the advice said and went about correcting the directory layout. This is also the only mod that this seems to have a problem with this. I honestly couldn't think of what to do next so I'm asking here if maybe you guys ran into this problem before.
You need to expand ENS-CreativeWeaponUse, then right click on the data folder option and select to set data directory once the window with the "No game data on top level" appears. This should change the bottom message to "Looks good" and you can install it safely.
This mod doesn't support MO. You should manually install it. The plugin will likely appear in MO afterwards in the load order, should you want to re arrange things. Sorry, I have always been a manual install guy and not skilled in mod managers
Modifying objects in the world seems risky. Maybe rather than replacing objects, you could add a power that lets you convert the mundane items into their weapon equivalents? This would eliminate most, if not all, compatibility issues.
I'd rather enjoy some more of this improvised weaponry. Like hitting people with an oar, or bones. Hell, grab one of those hand carts by the handle and swing it. improvised weapon skill may not be the most practical, but it is hilarious.
I'd be surprised if no one has brought this up before but I find it weird how blunt objects are considered as daggers. Something about slitting someone's throat with a tankard... feels like they should be considered clubs or maces. Has anyone addressed this yet?
Love this! I have one request though: Do you think you'd be able to add human skulls to the list? I'd love to be able to smash someones head in with another man' skull (6)
