Is there a way to fix it so you can't hurt friends or allies with it? Along with a flame spell, the fire cannon is all I use now. But I do spend a lot of time resurrecting bystanders.
I was looking for something to go with my character, as I'm making Guts I needed a hand cannon lol and this is perfect. I'll endorse later. Awesome work thanks!
Oh, and they should both be set to expert at the 200 and master for the 1000. If you made the master spells cast 1000 mana too, it wouldn't even be all that broken. With 85% cost reduction it'd be 150, then with master perk it'd be 75 to cast. You could nuke everything easily, but then again you're a master level destruction mage at 100 skill level with the most powerful destruction enchantments... you should be able to destroy the world. Right?
True, although i made it primarily for the berserker that i tend to be, running into combat, biting off more than they can chew and ultimately dyeing, this however gives them a chance as it fires off a shot dealing massive damage whilst using the magicka which you don't need anyway because, well, you've got a massive 2-handed sword to go with it. But, saying that, it could be made like how you said, or have it level with the player (somehow...).
If there's no cast time (or say less than a firebolt), then I think it'd be a lot of fun for the dmg to be equal to the Flames spell, as well as the cost per cast as flames per second.
As a third version of course. The two you have are fine for what they are, but I'd call them Hand Bazookas. Perhaps the 1000 dmg ones could be Hand Nukes and then a the version I'm suggesting could be Hand Pistols. :3
But, if it isn't any better than flames, why use it? But of course, for the cool machine gun effect and the added range of course! That and you still have to aim, versus a concentration spell of spray and pray.
Speaking of that... why not just make it a ranged concentration spell? Call it Hand SMG. You just hold the buttons down and they shoot little fireballs. Like, literally fireballs, but dmg = flames dmg. So they'd have aoe like fireballs. Maybe scale the spell mesh for them down 50%, then the aoe down 50% too.
Actually... I think I'll go make that spell myself.
The name 'Hand Cannon' was actually made in reference to the nickname of extremely powerful revolvers but could also refer to an actual cannon. (Just saying).
And I have actually looked around for a way to change the spells to make them repeat but i can only make them so it's either concentration (aimed), or ranged (fire and forget), although if you have any insight on how to do that i'd be grateful (credit would be given of course).
Thanks, i was just messing around and figured why not. Cool thing which i didn't say in the description, if you have the right timing and hold down for just the right amount you can use the spells like a machine gun when dual casting
