version 3 (level restricted) up and running , much better then v2 . (and with less dragons)

version 4 level restricted is also available now with many new features .

beware this mod will enhance the difficulty of your game .

this mod will not affect the start at helgen , and its compatible with lal . it will not affect the first dragon encounter from the main story .

it doesint need a new game and it can be activated at any time .

no problem to update from v2 to v3 or v4 ... (if you want the new features) in mid game , just replace the old esp. with the newer one you chose .

dont forget to endorse if you like it .

check my other mod "with purple to violet" .

    enjoy

Returning to Skyrim after a year, I felt disappointed with the lack of dragons in the game. I thought there were more dragons around in my previous playthroughs. So I'm gonna give this a try!

I'm experiencing a weird problem: I've killed two dragons in an hour (the only dragons I killed after I installed this mod) and I couldn't absorb their souls.

I'm not pointing fingers, but is it possible for this mod to cause such problems? Other than this, I don't have any other mods that change anything about dragons; only a texture mod which is irrelevant I suppose.

ps: I know it might be a vanilla bug, because I had that before. But never this often.

its a well known vanilla bug (it came up after dragonborn i think) , many tried to fix it ... , its not a problem though , theres a mod here on the nexus that gives you a spell to absorb the soul from any dragon that didnt give one ...
ps : i am using this one for a long time i think its perfect :

you can do it on tes5edit , load your mods choose make merged patch and then choose the changes you would like to carry on with by applying them in the merged patch field (drag them by holding the left mouse button to the merged patch field ) , dont overwright his changes to the dragons object bounds . (probably you will see that other mods are overwrighting each others so you can fix also those conflicts too . (the merged patch then will represent the way you would like to play your game ... )

I love the concept of this mod terso, endorsed. Unfortunately I've had to uninstall this mod from my list. For me, it's too many dragons before I even make it to Whiterun. May be its just my luck, but I tried 3 seperate new saves and I always encountered 1-3 dragons before I made it to Riverwood, and 2-3 more dragons while making my way to Whiterun after accepting the Jarl quest. Usually its an Elder and 2 Dragons, sometimes its just a Dragon, but on average I would encounter around 5 dragons between the Helgen cave exit and the farm outside of Whiterun(adept difficulty). That's a little to much for my personal taste, at least that early in the game. I would love to see a version that kicked in after the first dragon fight at the tower, or maybe a MCM menu (or different .esp's) with Dragon frequency options (like some dragons, more dragons, it's raining dragons). Either way though, I love the mod. Keep up the good work terso.

which version are you using ? i can add a lighter one , are you using other mods that affects the leveled list ? if so place this one high in your load order tag it delev relev run wrye bash and you'll have much less dragons and less powerful till some levels , or i can simply add a lighter one if you tell me which version you are using , i am going to add level restrictions as other features too later anyway .

I was using v3 before I uninstalled. I came here to leave a comment and endorse when I noticed v4. I honestly have not tried v4 because I didn't see anything in the description that indicated any changes to my issue, and I am also using the Konahrik's set of dragon priest mods with DCO. So I assumed they would conflict since they both make changes to the difficulty of dragons and priests. In regards to LL, I do use a few mods that alter them in some way, so I'll go ahead and re-install v3 in the morning and add those tags to the esp and see what happens.

Edit: Actually I'll give that optional file a shot first and see how that works out. I honestly Don't mind the amount of dragons, its just the amount of them before Whiterun. The scripted events during the run to Riverwood, and in Riverwood stop functioning until the dragon(s) are defeated. Which can be a pain when your best weapon at that moment is an Iron Sword.

I read a post below that this is compatible with SIC (Skyrim Immersive Creatures). My question is, is this compatible with Monster Mod as well? I use both SIC & Monster Mod via a Bashed Patch (Wrye Bash) for compatibility between the two mods. Thanks.

Thanks for the info & quick response. I will most likely give this a try at some point, though I want to ensure continued stability before I add anything else to my current game. Peace!

When you say from the Beginning, does this mean i will see them from the Beginning of the Prisoner Carriage Ride, hence i think they should appear once you leave the Cave out of Helgen.

Can i Activate this Mod whenever i want.

How will this effect the First Dragon Encounter for the Main Quest, would i have allot of Dragon Souls but can Only be used when Angier Activates my Shouts

Would like to ask for a 1 time Third Person Animation where the Character Crouch at the First Dragon Wall, since what the heck did the Player Absorbed for the First Time.

hi , you can activate the mod whenever you like to , but you ll have to wait for some time for them to show or reset world cells , nothing at helgen this will not affect the beg. of the game , no dragons there , you can begin normally with it activated no problem , you can also use lal it wil not affect lal in anyway , there s no dragons near any of the lal starts , the dragon souls can be used in two ways even if you dont go to the greybeards , one to unlock wards you learn from dragonwalls and one if you are using the your money or your life mod in that case you can use them to save yourself . i normally use dsr to spend the souls and that because i use a very difficult setup with skyre and other mods that introduce a lot of difficulty to the game , like sic hle roe ce sot the populated serie dd and dfb ... normally i set the need for a perkpoint in dsr to 15 and for attributes to 5 ... i go for a lot of dragon hunting i like that .

Generally speaking just adding Dragons to critter spawn lists is incredibly inelegant. Your faction changes are global and will be overwritten by other mods, and again, generally, do not actually work the way you think they do. Its also a big no no to delete references as that can cause crashes with other mods. You also have a number of dirty/wild edits where you opened cells but didn't actually place anything. Any time you work with world spaces you should run the esp through Tesvedit, make sure the changes you actually want to make get made.

Its a nice starter attempt, but is inferior to Bellyaches New Dragon Species.

yeah cleaned and i removed those entries reuploading now , and no it doesint cause crashes , you ll find them in many new place without problems . tested with a ton of other mods ... no problems .

It can cause crashes. For example a mod that uses scripts to add other creatures through those same markers could result in crash by not being able to find the reference. Depending on how its done the engine doesn't know how to deal with it and terminates. Will it on its own, certainly not. But by being handled poorly it can when combined with other mods.

believe me i tested it with a ton of mods , skyre , sic , hle , obis , asis , roe , emd , dd , dfb , skytest ... never had a problem , just backup your save if you have doubts and try it if you feel interested . if you want more of them place it low in your load order , if you want fewer place it higher , it doesint conflict with anything (use wrye bash) .
