This armor was originally made for a new faction/quest mod entitled "Northguard: Blood of Ysmir". Due to some unfortunate unresolvable differences within the Northguard team, the project no longer has anything approaching a release date (I'm doing pretty much everything myself now -- which is hard, as I'm learning as I go -- and only modding in my spare time to boot). But we do have a few gems that we can give you in the meantime.
So here's one of the two armors for Northguard. Hope you enjoy!

So good to see this armor remade into what it was supposed to be from the very start. It even has the celtic ornaments on the side and WEIGHT SLIDER...plus these boots fit it so much better the the vampire boots. The original mod was fine but it was rushed which kinda ruined it for me...thank you Elianora! now my Geralt can travel with Letho the land in search of monsters looking like a duo of witcher badasses
I just love this armor! it fits alot better, and with the body slider option makes it even better!
By the way, i've made a retexture of the armor (has been for personal use only) that i'd like to share, it isn't a super HD quality retex, but i'd like to send it to you for an optional download, i don't want to upload it, because i didn't made the armor, and i don't want to take your credit for it.

I believe it's because Perkus Maximus looks at the materials used to make the armor and categorizes it thusly. This armor was originally made as part of a quest mod (that completely fell apart). One small part of the mod was getting this armor made for you by the blacksmith of the faction you join. So, within the story of the game, the chain parts were made of ebony. So you needed to use ebony. It's silly, I know.
Very nicely done though from first look and compared to the trailer I have seen it bears a very close resemblance to Geralt's armour from Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. Beautifully made Hope you make more.

is the hood optimized for vampires yet?
IIRC my vamp just turned bald when equipping it
