Version 2 is out of Beta. Core scripts have been greatly altered and cleaned up, with several conditionals being moved to perks or abilities to simplify things.
Final encounter may make many of you cry tears of blood. Have fun.
4/11/15: Edited description to include information about encounter locations. All encounters spawn randomly but some bosses spawn in specific types of areas or areas inhabited by specific enemy types.
6/7/17: It has been some time since I last played Skyrim. Was just checking the Nexus on a whim. Unless I get a sudden, inexplicable hankering for Skyrim it's unlikely that this mod will get any future updates. I may still respond to comments.
****One issue that some might have experienced: playing with the game's "timescale" global variable may cause the hunger meter goes wonky (not decreasing, decreasing way too quickly, etc.). It's one of those Bethesda engine "features" where modifying the timescale will cause the way time flows in the game to get gradually more and more janky over time (vendors start opening at odd hours, that sort of thing).
Do you recommend any mods to play with this? any vampire mod maybe? Also, the armor you get from Vampire Pariah gets stronger only if you are a vampire, right? I wonder if I'm gonna be able to defeat the final bosses without the boost in regen from feeding...
Hi really love this mod but I found one small...problem the sword is fully satiated but it doesn't awaken no new quests ,abilities mcm menu just nothing hope you can fix it
Ok fixed. Damn i ruined something though. I killed my own summoned deaedra to feed the sword and got some abilities too fast. Ruins the immersion a bit. But gotta live with it. What is that Diabolic fervor stat ?
so im not a hero i like to kill childeren kill the inocent and mureder everyone in front of me and i dont want to become the hero who killed the world eather let alone dragon born is there a way to get the sword witout being dragborn and can a speed it up
I'm going to pick up the sword and there is a sign of sclamation on the floor and the porde is red to correct this or to make a new texture for the sword to be compatible with my version of the atulizão and the last and out that this bug occurred
Thanks for all the support, guys. Work on the new (and hopefully final) version is going slowly as real life is getting in the way.
IMPORTANT: While I'm extremely grateful to those who take the time to report bugs, please try to give as much detail as possible.
What state is the sword in (awakened/dormant, abilities active, witnesses, etc)?
What/who are you trying to feed on? if it's not a vanilla NPC, vampire, daedra or dragon be sure they (or their race) have the proper keywords (ActorTypeNPC, vampire, ActorTypeDaedra or ActorTypeDragon, respectively)?
Where are you?
Could your problem simply be script lag? <-- This is especially true if you do something like having the stormbringer ability active and boosting your attack speed a lot. The newer version will have safeguards to prevent things like this but obviously I have no control over other scripted mods you may use.

The mod is fantastic, but because NO ONE wants to explain anything properly for people who don’t want to finagle with fractured riddles and suchnonsense, here are the things I figured out after scouring the modpage and experimenting with the mod. Spoilers, obviously.
Infamy operates by the Lived to Tell in increments of 25. You need 150 for the max rank of Dark Legend.
“Someone witnessed the blade’s power” seems to be a gamble. It decreases 1 per day (or so the mod says), but you could spawn in 100 bandits and only have the number increase by 4 or 5, or spawn in 10 and have it go up by 8 or more. I’ve never really gotten solid answers as to why it works this way, but best I can assume attacking one person in a group of 5 to 15, then running away until you can fast travel, then fast traveling a short distance, works best. Its still incredibly tedious and slow.
Use console commands. To finish the mod, you will need to kill countless enemies, and have high infamy, which are paradoxical because you need people to see the blade’s power in order to increase infamy, but need tons of special souls to awaken the blade. To this end, unless you fancy waiting 30 days at a time to reset every lair to fast travel around to, you’re going to want to use console commands.
Spawn in high tier favored enemies. Due to the daedric hunters that come for the blade, you’re usually going to be double the percent of awakening on that third of the sword versus vampires and dragons. If you have the slow time shout, or gear to tank, you can quickly gain the percentage you need by spawning in volkihar vampires, as they give about one percent per kill. Revered dragons give a similar amount.
You need 100% in all three favored enemies. The mod description says that you need to “fully awaken” the sword for the final confrontation. This is deceptively vague, as to unlock all tiers of abilities (save for the last), you only need 50% awakening, which would mean the sword is fully awoken. This is why console commands are recommended, as summoning large groups of vampires can help get to 100% quickly, but you will need to kill at minimum 100 revered dragons in order to “satiate” the blade to unlock the Unspoken encounter.
The Unspoken spawns enemies to trigger your time stop sword ability. This is the window to attack, as otherwise you simply get thrown away.
The enemies are all overkill strong. You will be one shot even at max gear without insane enchanting builds and without tons of instant health regeneration, particularly since the initial vampire pariah is stronger than the ebony warrior and spawns in at level 15, even after you hit him with fire or silver. It is recommended you have the become ethereal shout to spam for the final fight and the unspoken, as both will deal insane damage otherwise, even with ridiculous stats.
The fight with the sword’s hunger secret ending is picking up the sword, and killing the hunger with it. You do this by attacking the sword in the center with magelight, then once he’s down pick up his sword from nearby and kill him. I’m not sure why magelight of all things, but sure. Use the water mid-fight to move him away from the player and trigger magic attacks, which won’t autokill you.
Bugs:
Half the abilities are buggy, and some just straight up do not work. This could be a mod conflict issue, but I doubt it.
Least:
Sanguine sundering doesn’t, as far as I can tell, leech movement speed or crit chance. Yes as a vampire.
Elemental censure will often say a target resisted it, meaning it doesn’t work as it should. It could only be the poison effect, but its notclear, and might be all of it.
Lesser:
Insatiable predator doesn’t always increase attack speed, usually it doesn’t, and sometimes doesn’t slow down time with activation.Only if the blade is full does it work as intended, otherwise justactivating constantly but not doing anything.
Greater:
Daedric shackles doesn’t work a lot. Sometimes it does, but its incredibly finicky, and theres no visible bolt to see if you’reaiming wrong. You simply have to hope your crosshair is on thetarget and then the target doesn’t move or is already close toyou, AND is only a human. Still, there’s no guarantee the abilityeven works, but its cool when it does. It does NOT work ifactivated using Stormbringer.
Dark:
Blackrazor has an odd bug where it just freezes time indefinitely, it might be a conflict with another time stop mod I have because I’m a jojonerd but its still a bug. More importantly, the “drink the sun”ability straight up doesn’t work. Never will, assume its not evena feature to consider. The lighting doesn’t change, it doesn’ttrigger the auriel’s bow transformation of the sun, nothing. Youstill take the negatives from sunlight as a vampire. The mod isfinished, so its not going to be changed, so just don’t bother.
Soul reaver supposedly wreaths you in eldritch flames, but there is almost
always zero visual indicator. There’s aneffect in the active effects menu, so I guess it works? But I haveno idea if its supposed to be invisible or not
Darkest:
Stormbringer does not use ethereal swords, one of the pivotal apex powers of the sword. It sucks, but it just doesn’t. I’ve never seen theswords proc during any attack I’ve done, even if enemies usingthe sword seem to summon them with every attack. I don’t know ifI’m doing something wrong, but there’s no magicka drain, and noswords. As far as I can tell, the rest of the ability works, but asits all flavor text of stronger power for the sword it doesn't meantoo much. It also has a problem of overlapping powers. As itssupposed to activate all the other powers at once, it ends up nothaving most of them work. Daedric shackles stops working while thisis active, as well as the knockdown effect of tyrannus thuum.Blackrazor still appears to leech ability but the notification textno longer appears, nor does the effect always pop up in activeeffects. In addition, the Bleed the Void power does not appear ininventory.
Thanks for this after so many years, author. I'm appreciating the mod so far and you put a lot of work into it. Easily one of the best weapons on the Nexus, I was able to reach it thanks to Duzellx's port on SE.👌🏾
My only issue however, is I can't yet unequip the sword so my right hand has it constantly equipped. What should I do to finally be able to unequip it ?
Edit: ah, I just had to equip another weapon from my inventory, then the sword disappears. Now I'm wondering if there's a way to make it permanent ? Or if it's something I'll discover later...?
conjured around 200 unbound dramora finally got one meter to 100% killed 15 enchant dragons meter at 7%.... 9 hours constant slaughter... is there a way to speed this up... this sword is a cool idea but its too tedious to be used.
hello, for now I use the mod and it is quite good (being hunted by such a powerful vampire is quite an experience) but when I manage to kill the vampire and try to take the sword it stays on the ground and is not added to the inventory (I have a mod that makes the enemies' weapons stay in their inventory no matter how far they go, it's called possesive corpses, that mod is the one that gives conflict right?)
Pd: I found the problem, my character had 295 hp and the sword found me too weak to use it xd, even so the sword disappeared from my inventory when I grabbed it, I think finding how to wake it up will be part of the game
Bit of an issue, killing the Pariah crashes my game. Does not matter if I take him down legit, use the Kill command, or bury him in minions, as soon as he dies CTD.
This has occoured several times, across multiple saves. Just can't get past that point. Is there perhaps some setstage command to get around this?

I uninstalled Skyrim ~65 million years ago. Been slowly working my way through Dragon's Dogma.
