It was a bastard sword in the game, could you make a version with a wider blade? Maybe twice as wide. I couldn't equip this sword in NWN maybe this could be my chance.
Ahhh Neverwinter Nights. the first game I ever got in touch with a talented modding community that allowed me to play the game for years after the expansions were done being made. I wouldnt mind an Airbeth paladin and Dark Knight companion. and now with her sword we are one step closer! thanks for that.
as awesome and deeply good as this sword is, there is only a few problems with the general design (minor ones, which is amazing considering there is usually a great chance of a problem. your amaze me with this)
the stone for the eye is a little awkward, as you have little ability to see the carving in the stone, which i think the eye was made to make you feel like it was staring at you, which is beautifully crafted (my parents are jewelry makers, as is most of my family; its hard not to pick it up as a hobby.) I would suggest making the pupil more visible.
the hilt looks a little shorter than it should be, the original design was a hand-and-half sword in-game.(I still play, its awesomeness is still there)
and the last which is just i think the design would seem more combat usable if there was a diferent a tip, as one of the most effective ways to damage is to leave a special kind of wound that would be heal, the kind made by the tip of an arrow. in this case the design would be a rounded arrow-head shape.
but all these things aside, I've been waiting for this mod since the game came out. You are GOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDD!!!! my obsession with all things neverwinter aside, great work badass.
The sword looks slightly different in each piece of artwork I used as references and I put some of my own artistic license into it. I know what you mean by the jewel not looking so good, my texturing skills aren't that good and it's something I should improve. I also admit that I have little knowledge of how swords work in real combat and the design is purely from an aesthetic standpoint.
Thanks for the feedback, it's appreciated. Great to see other Neverwiner Nights fans too.
Ha i was commenting on another mod a few weeks ago and mentioned Aribeth's armour and here you make the sword, great work and memories of good old times playing NWN.
Wasn't Aribeth's armour 'animated' in Neverwinter if I remember correctly? Damned if I remember the sword... Think I kicked her ass, but it's a bit hazy after this long!
Nice looking sword though, the crossguard 'rings a bell'.
Cool sword. Does anyone know if Aribieth has been created as a follower mod? A search for Aribeth in Nexus Skrim mods yields only this sword. Thanks for sharing your work with us!
