Like some others, it doesn't work. I get the endless intro music and splash screen fog animation with the emblem. First try I only had DLCs, racemenu and this mod active. Second try I had DLCs and this mod. Third attempt I had DLCs, this mod and the recommended Quick start mod. All 3 attempts resulted in what I mentioned above.
This mod does NOT remove all humanoid NPCs from the game. I logged into Riverwood and immediately saw Faendal, Dorothe, Hod, Embry, and Gerdur just standing in a clump on the main road.
What's more, the terrain edits are incredibly sloppy, floating objects galore.
I don't usually say this about mods...but this is a truly terrible mod. I genuinely tried to find something positive to say about it, but......nothing.
You know I always wish there were repercussions for you killing whole towns. Would it be possible to make this so with this mod so that these outfts will only appear once you killed all main characters in a town?
I don't know why you added that addendum at the end. This mod is fucking awesome looking. If someone doesn't want something like this, they probably wouldn't be looking for it. For me, this is precisely what I want.
But when I install it, it causes my outdoor melee bandits to be invisible. Indoor melee bandits are invisible. I can hit them, and kill them but not loot them.
Magic using bandits are still visible.
I have uninstalled every other mod and tacked the problem to just this one mod.
OH, also dogs.Bandit dogs are invisible.
I really need a way to fix this, because I was building an entire Hardcore Survival Game around this mod, and the invisible bandits is breaking it!!!
I love the idea for this mod but sadly when I installed it my main menu screen freezes and I can't get into the game. Do I just need a better PC? I'd been using larger mods and overhauls before without coming across this issue. I tested every mod I have individually and this one seems causing the problem. I've got the prerequisite mods installed, did I miss something?
Sorry to bother you, it looks like it would make for an awesome survival playthrough too
Try running only this mod and the prerequisite mods. I know when I first tried I was getting the black screen with Skyrim logo and no new or load choices. I don't use the unofficial patches when using this mod. I have a post further down with some mods I use with it.
I really like most of the mod and use it for my own Dark Souls/Bloodborne/Castlevania inspired play thru. Some edits to a few towns and landscapes are immersion breaking though, around Ivarstead and Falkreath, where there are edits to the roads and areas around water that are confusing. In my gameplay, I simply avoid those areas so I don't ever have to see them.
The author was banned in 2014, so I don't expect any updates or anything. I do wish some talented mod author would make a mod similar to this. Basically, kill off most of the NPCs from the vanilla game, leaving most towns and cities empty except for a few specific NPCs like Falion, who is needed to cure vampirism, and at least one innkeeper NPC, maybe Morthal's Inn to go along with Falion still being alive, since innkeepers are the one's who initiate the vampire cure quest. I would leave Dawnguard and its components intact and would probably not change anything with Dragonborn either. I wouldn't touch the Hall of the Vigilants or Vigilant random encounters.
It would also be great to see detailed changes to the towns and cities, e.g. for the most part no more burning fires, candles, etc., no more food, bones and skeletons in homes, cobwebs, streets full of grass, wild dogs, wild horses, skeevers, etc. Some places could even be inhabited by bandits, similar to them occupying forts, I would consider it immersive to hold up in fortified places like Whiterun, maybe even Windhelm or Solitude too. An MCM to configure bandits, animals, or whatever would be nice too.
I would leave the rest ambiguous, that way it could be used as a sandbox for other mods with whatever major threat player's wanted to use from zombies, dragons, vampires, draugr, etc. A really ambitious modder could even make an MCM to configure whatever apocalyptic threat you want, maybe even mix and match threats.
Thanks for this mod. Been really enjoying it with these other mods after reading nautica187's comment. No crashes yet, but probably just put an omen on it. Hope it's okay to post these, if not I'll edit or hear from the bosses.

Not that I ever noticed. It is an interesting playthrough. I just happened to come back and saw your post. I use Mod Organizer and have Empty Skyrim as a profile.
