Honestly my hopes were raised until I saw this isn't for SE. I hope a port shows up at some point. I'd do it myself but I'm dumb as a brick and have messed up badly trying to port other, simpler things on my own...can't trust myself to do it lmao
Have to agree that at first i wasn't a big fan of the idea of guns in a medieval fantasy settings, but after playing with this mod, my opinion is has completely changed.
Plus it makes sense for something like the firearm to exist in Tamriel if we take into consideration that from TESI to TESV it's litteraly the span of 4 thousand years... and technology hasn't changed even a tiny bit? I think not.
Although i would love to see a few more firearm classes added (i know you use Ghosu's mod, but hey one can always wish right?)such as: Archebusses: as an early version of the flintlock rifle, it's like a weaker blunderbuss, also match locked so it wouldn't work at all when being wet, and it also would take pellets and black powder as ammo. Medieval Hand Cannon: aka. the most primitive firearm, it takes rocks/pellets as ammo, fire in all directions but the one you are aiming at, reload is slow, you need gunpowder and a match to fire it, this would be the earliest and cheapest firearm.
And that's about it. I wish that in TESVI they would leave the medieval style in favor of an early renascence style, i feel like if TESVI is just another medieval fantasy game but this time in a jungle/desert i would be just a tad bit disappointed, come on Bethesda, FOUR THOUSAND YEARS and technology hasn't evolved AT ALL.
Nice mod . I was following Gosus mod but sadly he has disappeard from Nexus for the time being. Glad someone is picking up his work
Is there any chance you are going to add this tweak where other NPCs would use the firearms too? Would give Skyrim a great renaissanceish vibe.
Also are you aware that the ammo addon from gosu is bugged and some of the bullets dont actualy do elemental damage? (not sure which ) Gosu himself stated it was too much work for him to fix since he was about leaving modding anyway.
The guns are distributed to some leveled lists so there is a chance to stumble across a bandit holding one for example. Not sure if all the bullets are working, I remember doing some adjustments in that department when creating this mod but it is some time back now so I do not remember entirely - so there indeed may be some imperfections.

The mod author should really include it in the requirements tab but he does highly suggest using it in his description.
