Wondering if someone with experience can help me. When I try to search for this mod, nothing shows up. I do a search for Mjoll Khajiit, Mjoll, Khajiit, and the name Mjoll the actual lioness. But I don't get anything for my mod in the search results. I tried removing all the tags to open it up, but that didn't seem to help. Any helpful advice?

I tried that, but it's still not working. If you search for it, can you find it? I can find it by author name, but who is going to be looking for that when randomly searching for a khajiit mod?

Did her Nord dialogue/voice get edited too? Because it would break immersion if she started to say nord related comments.

Please read the description. I added a little head-canon in there that explains any of her Nord-related dialogue. Thanks for supporting!

Also want to add that Mjoll's voice has not been changed. To me, she doesn't need to sound like a Khajiit, because when she speaks she has sort of a soft purring quality already. Just add that to the head canon for her and it works.

(Head canon being that her father was a Khajiit and her mother was a Nord, so she's got blood from both sides, but looks like a Khajiit and sounds like a Nord.)

the problem is that backstory is a bit lore unfriendly as it is stated that khajiit cannot have children with the other races. But in retrospect, all species of Khajiit are compatible with each other. Unless you're saying the nord mother is her step mother, then there's no real problem.

Nowhere does it say that Khajiit are infertile to the other races. The book Racial Phylogeny only states that it is unclear, as with Argonians. Basically, it's the developers dodging around facts, and so far they have yet to confirm or deny it.

Yep, I read that, too. That's where the idea came from. Otherwise I would have tried to make a different backstory/head canon for her.

There's another wrinkle to this matter -- according to Racial Phylogeny:
"Generally the offspring bear the racial traits of the mother, though some traces of the father's race may also be present."

So, even if we assume Khajiit and humans can produce (viable) offspring, Mjoll's father should be the Nord and her mother the Khajiit. Unless she's some kind of rare exception.

I just headcanon that she was a Khajiit orphan who parents were killed by bandits and she was adopted by Nord parents. I don't think Khajiits talking like that is something they have no control over, its purely a culturally trait. Khajiit raised by non-Khajiit wouldn't pick up that way of speaking.

I love the idea of a mod like this that also uses A.I voice generation to add a couple of dialogue options where you can ask her why she lives in Riften as a Khajiit and why she doesn't talk like other Khajiits. That would be awesome. Great mod, sad that it isn't in the Special Edition. Only thing I'd change is just getting rid of her hair all together.

Does anyone know if there's an existing port or easy way to port it to SSE? I'd love to use this in my game.

I support this idea. Khajiit seriously got shafted in Skyrim.

I agree completely. I tried having my Khajiit marry an Argonian, but that was just too weird. A warm-blooded mammal with a cold-blooded lizard that lays eggs... I just couldn't see it. Had to do something about it!

Argonians in Skyrim are warm-blooded and I believe they give live birth. In fact, I think the only game it was different was Morrowind.

Really? I had assumed they were cold-blooded because they always call each other egg-sister/brother.

Well, considering they have bellybuttons, the answer is obvious. There's more evidence, but that fact alone pretty much removes all doubt. Calling each other egg mates is either Argonian culture or an oversight by the writers.

Lore wise they are cold blooded..........even says so on one of the loading screens. There are also comments about them in game such as in Skyrim when the necromancer makes fun of one of their colleagues calling them slower than an argonian in a snow storm. In Morrowind the Argonian at the dock in Solstheim also mentions Argonians difficult in adapting to the cold.

Regarding the belly buttons and stuff they also had boobs. That is because of them taking shortcuts in making models and nothing else. Its the same reason they didn't bother with beast legs (something I really missed) in the last two TES games.

The most logical explanation is that they are lukewarm blooded which is what dinosaurs were believed to be. This would actually be a good tradeoff since cold blooded animals are pretty much useless outside of specific environment not to mention cold blooded animals are incapable of developing high levels of intelligence that warm blooded animals can. And obviously Argonians are not warmblooded according to lore.

I've never seen a loading screen message that calls them cold-blooded. Even searched for it on UESP, still nothing. And like I said, I think the only game it was different was in Morrowind. That was the only game that gave them different legs and no breasts. Every other game in the series has depicted them more human-like than lizard-like.

This is the official quote. "Argonians are the reptilian natives of the province of Black Marsh."

I am using a mod that adds loading screens so mine reads different and adds the cold blooded part. That being said it states that they are reptile natives.

The quotes are still in the games though about Argonians having difficulty adapting to the cold (Morrowind) and Moving slower than an argonian in a snowstorm (Skyrim) which would only make sense if they were cold blooded or at best lukewarm. Lukewarm animals are still hampered by colder weather but not as much as cold blooded animals. Either way they are definitely NOT warm blooded. Khajit come for a desert and complain about the cold (at least a couple of the merchants do) but no one says that it slows them down any.

The final nail on the coffin is that Argonians refer to others as "warm bloods" Why would you call someone else a warm blood if you were also warmblooded? At this point its pretty much indisputable given the in game lore, they are most likely lukewarm blooded at best.

There was a discussion about it and someone posted this which is interesting. It would explain why they can still travel around even in Skyrim (which would be impossible for a purely cold blooded animal) but still be affected by the cold and slowed down by it.

"I think they are built like great white sharks...My theory is that they are homeothermic and maintain a higher body temperature than their ambient environment. They have a strip of aerobic red muscle located near the center of the body that generates the heat, which the body retains via a countercurrent exchange mechanism by a system of blood vessels called the rete mirabile. They use thier tails to generate this heat, that is why it must be constantly in motion,in or out of water."

Yeah, I just looked up a book from TESO called "On Argonians". It pretty much confirms that they're cold-blooded and insists that they can withstand the cold because of the magic of the Hist.

      We learnin' now.

LOL. I guess magic in Skyrim is the equivalent of SCIENCE! in Fallout in explaining the unexplainable.

the Hist is not magic, not properly, are more like a super-hive-mind-like-conscious-trees in Black Marsh, the Argonians worships them.
It's kind of a symbiosis, Argonians get stronger through the Hist Sap, a potion they drink, and the Hist is protected in return. Through the Hist the Argonian managed to survive periods of hardship and subjugation (they are always enslaved by someone in some form). During the Oblivion Crysis, the Hist called all the Argonians back home, giving them the power to force the Dremora back into the Oblivion.
Black Marsh was the ONLY region in all of Tamriel where the portals closed from the inside ... On purpose ...
When the argonians stared into the Oblivion, the Oblivion stared back ... in fear.

      I find solution
      -look very closely mjoll
      -use console commande
      -click mjoll
      -use command: setrace khajiitracevampire
(you can use this command without mod but she will be a khajiit bald)
/!\ if you uninstall this mod, she stay khajiit (and she was bald) use command "setrace nord"
(the quest "the gift" don't change your wife to race vampire in file but she have eyes and power)
sorry I do not speak English well
