    HOPv(P1) - Holds saddle replacer Patch (1)(2)(4) 1.2 and
    HOPv(P1) - Holds saddle replacer Patch (3) 1.2 are uploaded.




    - Adds a guard saddle for each hold. Saddles (made by lifestorock) were edited by Galexpk.

    - First patch for versions 1, 2 and 4.
    - Second patch for version 3.

    New Imperial saddle replacer file under Optional

    - replaces all game and HOPv Imperial saddles with saddle from Skyrim Immersive Creatures by lifestorock
    Thanks for permission to use.

    NOTE 1: Shield texture on saddle will be vanilla or whatever replacer you have installed.
    I am using Virtus Imperii - Imperial Gear Re-mastered by EcthelionOtW for the red shield.

    NOTE 2: If you have a mod that changes the mesh of the Imperial shield, then there will probably be a problem with it appearing on the saddle.
    Try it out as it is only a mesh/texture file. You can remove it easily.

    Make sure your computer is stable, when using this mod. It will due crazy things if your game is strained too much. The Imperials patrols have 7 NPCs plus 7 horses in one patrol. LITE and EXTRA LITE versions available.

    I have not tested this during Civil War, so I could really use some feedback.

    PICTURES PLEASE Especially with armor replacers.

    Don't forget to endorse, if you like it. There are now riders in Skyrim. About time I think.



    Not fully compatible with:

    - When Vampires Attack
    - Run For Your Lives
    - Holidays

    My NPCs will be called into buildings, even though they are part of the correct exemption faction.
    Horses might get teleported their under certain game conditions. It's a game engine problem. No fix possible.

    I use "NPCs Protected Redux and Extra Guards", instead.
    You can also use "Immersive Citizens". It doesn't affect the behavior of NPCs riding horses.

    I will not add mounted enemies, because you will never see them riding. They will be attacking you before you see them. If you have the Populated series of mods, you probably noticed that you never see the bandits mounted. Just their horses running around.

    I will be porting my mods to Skyrim SE.

    Hopefully, I can figure out what needs to be changed. Please be patient.

    I am optimistic that my horses will behave better with the 64 bit memory. Maybe flying horses will be a thing of the past.

      Uninstall all my files. Make sure there are no meshes in my mod's folder. Manually delete them, if they are still there. Install main file and then patch. I haven't played in quite a while. Maybe the meshes need to be optimized with newer utility. You could replace meshes with the ones from Skyrim Immersive Creatures. Link above.

    I Love this mod but most of the time is horses whitout a rider i think they die and the horses continue is kinda sad xd

      If a rider dies, the horse will immediately gallop to the Imperial camp or village/city. If you see the horse patrolling still, the rider is somewhere around. Probably, got into a fight or something and will eventually come back.

    Ahhhh! How do I get these stupid imperials to stop following me?
    Everytime i come across an imperial they follow say the same thing literally non stop.

      Sorry for late response. You must have a mod that is causing this. My patrols follow each other to a map marker and then back to another map marker. That is how their custom AI was designed by me. They use the main paths, so if you are using the main path they will be travelling on those roads. If they are literally following you all over the place, then I would check any mods that would interfere with an NPCs AI.

      These are new NPCs that follow new markers, so they are compatible. There are additions at the Imperial camps and one new Imperial tent SouthWest of Kilkreath Temple. Between Solitude and Dragon Bridge. I am not familiar with those mods, though. There might be navemesh incompatibilities, if those mods made any edits near the tent. You'll have to try it out, unless someone else responds. There would only be problems near Dragon Bridge, if any.

      Tested, and that exact location as a mater of coincidence. One horse was floating way in the air above the river just south of DB. It's "Improved Dragon Bridge" or "Better Dragon Bridge" I think. One that adds a ruined fortress and village and shrine to Nocturnal. It wasn't too bad just disabled the flying horse glitch. Rest seems to work well with the original FNIS horse combat mod. There have been a few cool interaction so far with raiding riders near Whiterun and such. Love the orc camps and more ranging feel you give the orcs.

      Unfortunately, the Skyrim engine just doesn't handle riders very well. I found this out after pulling a lot of hair and putting painstaking work into these mods. Using light versions might help with flying horses. Have you bumped into the small Orc Barbarian camp I added. I quite like it. It has some riders patrolling from there, too.

      Thus far, I haven't encountered the camp, but did see two awesome looking orc riders pass by Whiterun in passing. Extended Encounters mod might mean they die before I get to them or that they will be thinned out. The armor is well worth the DL though, by itself. Who are they hostile too, besides forsworn? I forget, haven't played orc in a decade.  ?

      Only other issue I have seen is at night they carry torches wonky at times, but the effect of a few riders in a column is highly immersive.

      You can remove torches in xedit quite easily. I forget who they are hostile to, also. I believe I copied the factions of the other Orcs in game. Been a while since I looked at my mods.

      Using TES5Edit, you can change each horse to protected or remove essential flag. I think I might make all horses protected and upload new files. This way the player can kill the horse if need be. Could use some input on this from anyone.

      I don't understand what you mean about not killing any guard yet. They do die, but are tougher than regular guards.

    I have installed all your "Horses" mod and i noticed two bugs in the only two patrol groups i encountered in vanilla land: some horses are frozen in time with no riders....some riders are frozen in time too in rider poses meters away, and i just found a dead stormclok in the stairs (that dock near Solitude), i guess this problem is related to that guy "BAVy" reported
    EDIT: I'm not using mods that adds NPCs btw, i'm planning to get some, i might get more patrols bugged thou.

      I used to get a lot of these game glitches before. Not so much now. But, I removed all city/town altering mods and reduced NPC adding mods.This game engine sucks, so there's nothing to fix in my mod. Every patrol is made the same way with the same custom AI package. So, if it was a mod problem, all patrols would do this. It's the main reason I lost interest in continuing this series. Try light versions of all NPC adding mods..

    Hi, quick question. I'm using HOPvLITE and ETAC together and I don't seem to be running into any issues. Where exactly is the conflict between the two that MsJennaBee had to create a patch for this?

    I don''t notice anything conflicting between the two. Thank you for your mods btw!!! <3

      It's a patch for navemesh conflicts. NPCs will have issues passing in some locations.

      This mod adds 9 mounted Imperial patrols that travel from each Imperial camp location along the roads. A tent, clutter, horses and soldiers are added and compliments the existing camp. If there is no Imperial camp during game play, then my tent and soldiers will still be there. Also, there is a mounted guard patrol for each hold. Solitude, Whiterun, Windhelm, etc.

      If you want mounted Stormcloak patrols use my Horses On Patrol- Stormcloaks mod. I forgot to add a link to this mod in my description. Sorry.

    The health and stamina of your units is murder. Tweaked the rider to scale with your level and the horse to be killed in few hits. Wasnt fun with the horse to run with your bounty endlessly. Made them non-essential as well.

      I chose the horses to be essential, so there wouldn't be soldiers walking behind riders in the patrol. Looked silly to me. With this game engine horses were dying all the time in my game. Everyone that doesn't mind, can make them non essential as you did.

      As for them being tougher, it's because my game setup is pretty dangerous and tough and they were getting eliminated pretty easy. Didn't see them patrolling much. Remember, I made this mod for me and then decided to share it. TES5Edit is everyone's friend. As you have shown.

      Would like a dangerous setting if it requires more tactic than overpowered enemies. Legendary difficulty gives them muscle but no brain.

      Initially i added this to add more population outside cities. And since i might need some new equipment, a few ambushed guards dont raise questions.

    This is a great mod! It adds a Lot of realism to the game, patrols are much more realistic now. In ancient times (well before I was born (in spite of what my grandkids tell me:)), though, any patrol with an officer, said officer may very well have been the only one mounted. It would be good to see some patrols like that, they may already exist & I've just yet to see them.
    AND a Giant Warm Fuzzy for letting DanielUA port it to Newrim.

    Is it possible to make the horses left riderless (because of death in the family :) so they can be stolen/claimed?
    The whole reason I came looking for, & installed this mod was so there would always be a steady supply of horses available for when one of mine got killed.
    I was hoping/looking forward to, when I needed a horse, attacking a patrol and round-up the liberated horses.
    Stables, somehow, never have anymore horses once you buy from them. At least in a reasonable (MY Reasonable, not anyone else's! ;)

      I am glad you like the mod. I know some people are thinking about historical mounted Roman Officers followed by foot soldiers, but my vision was a few tough mounted patrols that could travel long distances and battle dragons and creatures. There are enough foot soldiers in Immersive Patrols. If you use xedit, you could remove whatever horses you don't want in the patrol under worldspace. The horseless riders should still follow using my custom AI packages. Each member of the patrol is named very well, as well as the horses. CommanderA, CommanderAHorse, SoldierA1, SoldierA1horse, etc.

      What you are asking for is much too difficult to implement and would probably require scripting (which I don't do). There are a lot of mods that add horses for you to ride. I am using Mennowar Horses at the moment. I also use Convenient Horses, which gives you the option to make your horse essential and/or increase health, stamina and speed.
