Just in case anyone wants to reset this command, I'm not sure changing the 1 to a 0 will work... As far as I understand it, modav modifies the value like normal adding and subtracting, so you would need to use -1 to actually change it back to 0, so "player.modav BypassVendorStolenCheck -1" is what you would need to use.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong! :)

    THANK GOD.

I've been looking all over for these commands, nobody else seems to have heard of them.

Is there a way to make merchants buy back an item for a fraction of what it's worth? However, still sell it for its normal value? I saw a mod some time ago before the CK and he said it was a ratio, if you modify Buy it modifies Sell, so things were bought back for pennies, but sold for multiples of the normal vanilla value. Which made buying anything impossible.
With the CK out I can't find that old mod anymore. I'd like to set merchants to buy goods for no more then 20%, but sell them at normal Vanilla values.
    Any Ideas?

Thak you so much for this.
I don't have the minor idea why, but sence i join to the thief guild for the first time a weird bug happens that afect ALL my save (all plays and new test with several characters) in wich wen i give the order to a follower to grab what i left in a chest, a barrell or what ever, when i take it back from them to sell it, say is stolen. Even happen with daedric artifacs and other sataff that you only get from quests. Obviously, non was stolen, but apears that way, and i get stock with a lot of loot that can't sell. This help me a lot. I'm playing a mage now, and don't want to join it to te thief guild and/or the Dark Brotherhood just to sell some staff.
The freakying bug even appears in thing i craft (lost a daedric armor set quit good enchanted for a minor crime isn't something cool, and spend perks in an skill i don't want to have boders me).
So, Thank you Very much for this. Is of Great help.

P.D.: I even erasure my all saves, uninstall and re-install Skyrim, and the freakying bug is back.
P.D. 2: Hope you understand my english, i know it kind of sucks.

this is great, i agree with you about the non logical of the game about the selling of stolen items, and i also have an idea to remove this from "cheat" tag

some modder, if you dont want to, could compliment the actual skill that did "the same" with a very big plus, like for example paying the actual value, while with selling the stolen items without the skill, would give you one 1/4 of the value in coins, just like a merchant would pay for something he "suspects" its stolen

( Edit: talking about selling any non stolen item to any merchant. )

Having to go to each merchant one by one, look what they can ou cannot buy, to sell all my stuff is BORING AS HELL.
After finishing a dungeon / quest, I don't want to spend half an hour to get my money.

    Thanks for this mod!

Yeah I guess it doesn't make sense that a merchant would know that the armor you stole on the other side of the world is a stolen item.

But in the case of unique one of a kind artifact, they probably would know.I mean, if in the real world you stole the Mona Lisa, expert art buyers would know it was the stolen one.

I'm not sure if there are any one of kind artifacts laying around to steal is there? In that case my whole post is moot lol
