Hey Thanks Thalioden for this, exactly the sort of thing needed for those who have started modding and switched to MO.
However, I am finding the instructions a little hard to follow.
•Set MOCKfix.exe as your default application for opening .psc files
How is this done? Sorry for my ignorance or lack of understanding. If I could find a .psc file somewhere, I'm sure I could change association. But where?
Not sure about the rest that was as far as I got.
    Thanks in advance

You can simply create a dummy .psc file and set 'Always open with' this program. Or you can go 'Start -> Default Programs -> File Associations' and set it through there. The first one is easier and simpler

Hey I have a problem with this thing... I was foolish enough to not read what this thing actually did, and how it was to be used, so I just double clicked this without thinking. Next thing I know, almost everything in my Skyrim game can't be run. I get infinite loading screens every time I try to save, wait, fast travel, or enter a building, and I cant open creation kit using Mod Organizer anymore.

How do I undo this??? Please help!!!

hey, I am getting an error when trying to compile a script. I have placed the ini file in my documents directory, but I don't think you have realised that people might have moved hat folder to a different location. So, your fix is looking for C:\users\username\documents\, while I have it set up in E:\documents.

Now, it's not a huge problem, since I simply added one folder, but wouldn't it make more sense to search for the ini in the same folder as MOCKfix.exe...? You know, have all the important files in one place?

Edit: so, what do you do after installing it? I have managed to install this fix, but the scripts are still not properly placed in the Overwrite folder.

I first want to thank whoever is responsible for creating this fix. It takes a lot to understand how things are done in a program someone else created and to be able to create a functioning work around shows no small amount of insight.

Having said this, I am lacking on some insight myself and need some clarification that I can't seem to find here.
Question 1-The third bullet point in the description page states:
•Set MOCKfix.exe as your default application for opening .psc files
I am running Windows 7 and under the Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Default Programs\Set Associations, I get an extensive list of extensions of which .psc is not on. How do I rectify this?

Question 2-The fourth bullet point states:
•Set the directory for Mod Organizer and the path and(BTW, I recommend changing "and" to "including the") executable for your editor of choice in the MOCKfix.ini (which needs to be located in your Documents directory -- a sample is provided in the download archive)
The way this is written I should just drop it in the documents folder. But the below entry shows a longer path and a name change. I'm confused? Please clarify?

I want to thank you for your patience and your help.

hey david, i've configured the mock.ini in my Documents directory (what Windows 8 calls Documents in my user folder) and it's dying with this error:

IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'C:\\Users\\David\\Documents\\python\\MOCK\\dist\\library.zip\\MOCK.ini'

[UPDATE] you need to name it mockFIX.ini - need that fix. copy paste mock.ini and edit is not going to do it. maybe name the default file mockfix.ini to start with

Thank you. That's all I have to say for now.

Never mind. The compiler still can't locate my test script.

I was, but I just got it to work. It was a path issue where I just had to set up the ScriptCompile.bat import and output paths correctly. I feel dumb, but I figured it out eventually. So, now back to a hearty "thank you" with no caveats.

Hey, this is exactly what I need! but im getting this error:

    Traceback (most recent call last):
    File "MOCKfix.py", line 62, in <module>
File "MOCKfix.py", line 56, in callEditor
File "MOCKfix.py", line 44, in locateScript
IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'C:\\Program Files (x86)\\ModOrganizer\\profiles\\modlist.txt'

Ive correctly configured the ini file as seen here:

    [ScriptFix]
    editor = C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\notepad++.exe
    modir = C:\Steam\games\common\Skyrim\Mod Organizer

Wouldn't the mod directory be set to the REAL directory not the VIRTUAL MO directory? MO just maps in all the virtual mod dirs to the REAL directory which should be something like this...

...\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\ Data<-- space added for readability

If that doesn't work then maybe you need to include the path into the correct profile subdir you have like this:

      ..\ModOrganizer\profiles\<yourprofiledirhere>

Did you edit the MOCKfix.ini file located in your Documents directory, as explained on the description page?

If you just edit MOCK.ini in the same folder as MockFix.exe, then it won't work.

    Good Idea.

    Though i'm little lost.

Can you expand a little bit your tutorial:

1- How and where install the Ck (In Skyrim Directory? In Data\Skyrim Directory? in Mo\Mods ?
And more precisely wich files of the Kt i should install where?

    2- I'm not a programmer.
I would just like to install the Ck easely and use it through Mo as i'm using my others tools.

    Tk

If you are not going to edit any scripts, then you don't need this utility.

I have my Creation Kit installed in the default steam location, and it works fine for me while running it through MO.
