Made my own patch for Bugs101 which includes more fixes and actually bringing all new ingredients to true vanilla level and it includes every possible version(low res, high res, normal spawn, high spawn), so anyone can use it if they wish: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71499/?
Useful. I was going to do this myself, but felt lazy, so instead I just used this and copied the values over to the main file using TES5Edit to save a .esp slot. Good thinking removing the weird lack of 'spaces' in some of the names as well.
I have no idea how you did that because I cannot even load this mod in TES5EDIt, I get this "Error Code 2" thing, it refuses to load it. Never did I have a mod do this before.
EDIT: Oh now I get it, this patch is based on the "83Willows_101BUGS_V4_HighRes_HighSpawn.esp", so I had to rename my normal "83Willows_101BUGS_V4_HighRes.esp" first and then load both mods into TES5EDIT. I managed to manually change all those values according to what the patch does and then rename my .esp file back to what it originally was.
And while I was at it I also deleted all those vanilla spawn activators that Willow changed, because she removed the spawn limitation on them, meaning there would be hordes of insects (especially dragonflies) at certain spots. Nothing else was changed on those activators so its safe to delete them, I prefer to not have like 20 dragonflies buzzing over 1 spawn point.
Would be nice if this worked with all versions instead of just high res high spawn. Someone mentioned you can use Wrye bash to change the masters, but I don't have time to learn how to use that right now.
How close do the alchemic properties follow vanilla levels after the patch? I ask because I'm looking for a patch that brings all the 101 bugs alchemic effects to mirror vanilla alchemic ingredients in order to avoid alchemy super leveling and economy imbalance. Thanks for working on this!!!
Most of the ingredients are at the same magnitude as vanilla ingredient effects, some have one effect at 1.5x magnitude, and like two or three have one effect at 2x magnitude. There are so many different types of butterfly and dragonfly that I don't think a person is likely to get enough of any particular ingredient to massively unbalance anything.
"Skyrim was once the land of many butterflies. Now, not so much." - M'aiq the Liar You greatly underestimate some players desires to GATHER EVERY ALCHEMIC INGREDIENT IN SIGHT, ALL THE TIME!!! "Wings Plucked" TO THE MAX! muhahahahaaa But superseriously, if you have the same alchemic effects with different strengths, imbalance is already in play. Especially with anything that boosts Fortify Enchanting over vanilla levels. I can choose to not to use those bugs in alchemy, but that sort of defeats the purpose of having them have alchemic properties. kwim?
