Being from Atmora, Ysgramor would probably have been affiliated with the Dragon Cult in some manner, so I think it fits. As it says in The Dragon War:

"In the Merethic Era, when Ysgramor first set foot on Tamriel, his people brought with them a faith that worshipped animal gods. Certain scholars believe these primitive people actually worshipped the divines as we know them, just in the form of these totem animals. They deified the hawk, wolf, snake, moth, owl, whale, bear, fox, and the dragon. Every now and then you can stumble across the broken stone totems in the farther reaches of Skyrim.

Foremost among all animals was the dragon. In the ancient nordic tongue it was drah-gkon. Occasionally the term dov-rha is used, but the language or derivation of that is not known. Using either name was forbidden to all except the dragon priests. Grand temples were built to honor the dragons and appease them. Many of them survive today as ancient ruins haunted by draugr and undead dragon priests."

Hm.. you do give some good points there. If there was a like button I'd like your comment. But I guess at least with this mod I got rid of the draugr that were clipping with skeletons so it looked stupid. I might take a screenshot later so you guys can see what I'm on about lol

Actually I don't believe draugr were meant to be in Ysgramor's Tomb. Skeletons, yes, as Vilkas said, his finest warriors were buried with him. However, I saw three instances of draugr that were placed on top of skeletons, and hence were clipping through them so it looked stupid. Also, there were only I believe about seven draugr in the whole of the tomb, whereas there were tons of skeletons. So I think the draugr that were there may not actually have meant to be there, which is also partly why I got rid of them.

Draugrs are like zombies so the draugr are probally the original 500 companions

Actually Draugr are supposed to be the reanimated remains of the dead servants of the Dragon Priests. Since Ysgramor was not a dragon priest, had no connection with them whatsoever, nor would he need to deal with necromancy, there's no logical reason for there to be draugr in his tomb. That aside, there are other Nordic tombs that have them that had no relation to the dragon priests, so maybe it's a Nordic burial ritual that creates the draugr or some other unknown element. There isn't much lore explaining how they exist or what actually creates them, just that they're found in nordic ruins and mostly found around dragon priests.

@asc_kel: Draugr is a catch-all term for any of the undead typically found in Nordic barrows. While draugr are usually associated with dragon priests, it isn't uncommon to see them guarding other hallowed grounds like Ysgramor's tomb, or even on Solstheim where cannibalistic Skaal were punished by the All-Maker to walk the earth eternally craving human flesh. They're not exclusive to the Dragon Cult, bud.

In this case, they were the original Companions testing the mettle of the worthy.

But all the draugr belongs to Dragon Cult? Draugr its supose to be the corpses of ancients nords, Ysgramor was one of the first human in tamriel, the dragon cult come after of ysgramor, the barrows are only burial structures for the nords, maybe some barrows belong to servants of the dragon cult, but other barrows was only for free nords. I think thats why you dont kill any draugr in ysgramor tomb and only kill spirits, cause that draugr are only corpses and the draugr of dragon cult servants arise.

Draugrs are actually just dead warriors, in lore it says that they were restless souls that were still ready to fight and prove themselves in battle, because they may have not when they were living. To real Scandinavian tradition and other northern parts, dying on the battlefield was the way to go and the only way to fulfill your honor. Hence Skyrim obviously themed Gallic or Briton tribes while being inhabited by the Roman Legion. So ya i have never heard about draugr being dragon priest servants

    Didn't you listen to Vilkas?

Ysgrammor's finest warriors were buried with him, and they want to make sure that you're worthy before you reach Ysgrammor's resting place. You're not fighting "dragur" per se, you're fighting the spirits of Ysgrammor's original Companions to prove your honor and your prowess. Vilkas tells you as much when you first get in there.
