save your game stand somewhere with a LOT of space then type in the console player.placeatme 000aa93f 1 it will spawn the statue on yourself move back and check it out I found the golden version not that great to be honest it's not as good as the vanilla HD original and is probably more suited to a mod that adds a smaller version for decoration the rust version doesn't look that good either but will be more realistic once you completed the quest related to that statue (but you have no buisness going back there so yeah not that useful) for me the original is better so this one I won't use
You find it during the thieves guild main questline when you go to a dwemer ruin. It's only accessible during the quest, but if you wanna use some cheats to open the door, the ruin is Irkngthand
yes, I second this.. I love all the new statues but not this one.. definitely the color of the vanilla statue should remain and also the blue on the torch must stay as it is, it's such a distinctive color for falmers in this game.
In the lore, a falmer is a snow elf. It's only more common to call the betrayed, falmer. It's not wrong to call a Dark elf a Dunmer, or a Wood elf a Bosmer. It's kinda of an ignorance topic in Skyrim, where many locals just don't know the history of the Falmer. Anyways, yeah, one in the same. Two names for the same thing. r
All of these retextures and meshes for statues are great, really... but what if you're a purist for Vanilla style, and use a Vanilla ENB, and Vanilla styled retextures for everything... these stand out - what to do then? Do you plan on just increasing the quality of vanilla design, instead of drastically changing it, as an optional?
I think all of his remakes are very, very lore-friendly/vanilla puristic. This one here is gold, because it was supposed to be super duper sacred for the thieves guild (right?). Which makes sense, hence it is lore-friendly, imo.
I don't think the statue was sacred for the thieves guild, I think only the eyes were important (as in the value). I think I might have missed something with that questline. Especially since the eyes don't really do much, you just give in one to be displayed and you can sell one.
Still, since the statue has gemstones for eyes, it should be more ornamental anyway.
Lore purists can not download it, for example, instead of screeching "LOOOOOOOOOOOORE!" every time someone steps three inches outside their comfort zone.
I am not a Lore Purist. I don't know much at all about the lore. I just prefer things not to deviate too much from Vanilla art style. That doesn't mean be ugly... don't get me wrong - vanilla Skyrim is down right ugly. But the art style is not ugly, the art style is what makes this game special in my opinion. I'm just that kind of person. So I'd say I'm more of an Artsy Purist if such a combination of words or non-words existed.
I understand that not everyone will agree with me, and I know that I won't agree with everyone. Regardless, there is nothing wrong with me asking for a version more toward the vanilla art style. It's just a personal request. I use all of the mods by this author that are like this, and this is the only one that I don't like very much right now, it just stands out too much for what in my opinion it was meant to. I think it should be more of a copper coloring, kind of dull because it's old - it's an old statue made of some form of copper. There is no reason it should be golden, unless that's the only choice the author prefers and isn't willing to change it even as an optional file.
For those who want vanilla style, I recommend Skyrim Realistic Overhaul (on the torrent sites). I know that mod includes some of the statues, but I don't recall what's omitted.
