lol in dragonborn, there already is a water walking enchantment, sorry to burst your bubble, but this could work for those without the DLC.

So you don't have to go to Solstheim and pay the mining price to get Ahzidal's boots. So you don't have to use the Ancient Nord boots appearance. So you don't have to wear heavy armour boots ust for waterwalking.

You can't disenchant the one you get in the dlc, but this you can, so this is also useful for those use the dlc but want this enchantment on an other equipment.

i'm attempting to make a waterwalking horse.

Can i ask- is there a way of applying this enchantment to apparel or something on a horse to apply the effect?

It seems to me it must be possible; but i can't figure it.

I know this is a very late response :s but for some reason your comment was really sneaky and I only saw it just now ...
if anyone should still be interested in this it should be possible but I'm not 100% sure about the available options right now, but I think a water walking spell cast on the player would affect the horse too
one way to do this could be to check for the IsOnMount() function wich is probably not the best way of doing things :3

I'm getting an "unspecified error" specifically when downloading the "boots and jewellery" version of this mod, any idea why? Error pops up when trying to copy it from the zip folder to my data folder

sorry if I didn't see your comment earlier for any reason
I'm afraid I can't tell you what the issue exactly is here if you got any error code you could try to ask google for it.
I don't know if I messed up zipping it up or if your file got corrupted during the download (that's why its always nice to get feedback on such issues)

since this is not the special editon of Skyrim Id have to see if I still got the files somewhere in case I messed it up :s

One major problem with this...I enchanted a ring, then when I used it, no problem....waterwalking...as advertised. The problem came when I took the ring off, and the waterwalking remained.....no way to check any underwater sites, as I'm locked in waterwalking mode.
Any ideas on how to get out of this mode? Because it truly sucks..

Oh yeah, I uninstalled this mod....but I'm still trapped in this mode.

This may be slightly late for those having problems with it, but, when taking off the enchanted item, the water collisions can be reset by jumping. Not sure why it happens that way, probably an issue with the script not breaking properly, but it doesn't matter. Otherwise, a most excellent and efficacious addition to my game. Thank you.

thank you for the hint, I did not use any custom scripts on this mod I only included an unused enchantment :3
  7. Quick question: Why is your version the only one that doesn't require Dragonborn?

sorry for the late response I wasn't very active in the nexus for some time :3
the reason is that the enchantment actually exists in the base game already but was not used anywhere before the dlc came~

I thought the description was a little... off. The boots are in Farengar Secret-Fire's room, the Jarl's court wizard in Whiterun.

Yes, there's a water walking spell but it wears off and you can only recast it, not decide to turn it on or off. Yes, there's water walking boots in the Dragonborn DLC, but not only is that a long ways off to get, you can't disenchant them.

This mod allows you to put the enchantment on something else - and by putting it on jewelry, you also have the option of using other pre-enchanted boots and still benefit from water walking.

That's worth an endorsement from me.

Small question, there is a Waterwalking Spell in the Game, why not use that?

Rather than switch to a spell for water walking I think it would be simply better to have a pair of enchanted equipment that just lets you permanently walk on water, so yay for this mod.

Because this is easier for new characters to access, doesn't require going through the "story" quests to get Ahzidal's stuff, and it can apply the enchantment to jewelry for non-armor characters.

Can you rename the enchantment to 'Waterwalking' and make items enchanted 'of Waterwalking' as it makes more sense.
