Wow, 100+ downloads in one week! Thanks everyone! Don't forget to endorse also. I give kudos to everyone who does.

Bit of a clarification about the post above: After my mod stopped appearing on the weekly front page thing, the downloads virtually stopped. I guess that's only to be expected. I just got excited.

I suppose the name I gave it is just a bit too.. elaborate for it to appear in most searches. I wouldn't know what else to call it though, haha.

Magic may not be completely worthless in Skyrim past a certain level now. Now if only we could scale the destruction spells too. There are mods that do that but never effectively. I wasn't happy with any of the destruction reworks I have tried. Any suggestions for a mod that handles destruction to compliment your mod?

I couldn't really recommend any. Give destruction spells a punch so they are more usefull at high character levels and they're too overpowered for the lower character levels. That's thankfully not the case for the spells I adjusted, as they only turn/raise enemies that are already level-scaled by the game itself.

The problem lies a little too deep. The game needs something that adjusts destruction magnitude in correlation to your level, for example through a primary attribute system (strength, willpower, etc) that increases slower than individual skill levels. Unfortunately for reasons only known to Bethsoft, the primary attribute system was disposed of after Oblivion, so there isn't much to be done about that.

Hm.. I kinda like the idea of this mod. It's just that I also use "Empowered Magic" which probably modifies the same spells. I'll take a look into making a compatiblity patch of sorts when I have some time.

And regarding the attribute system, that's handled by the mod "Mastered Magicka".

By all means. I think a compatibility path is over the top though, as the magnitude of these spells is easily modified by hand. It would be easier and more elegant to just create a small patch directly for Empowered Magic and never use Better NPC Spell Caps.

The only thing you have to pay attention to is that Frenzy Rune. There's a spell with that name listed there, but it doesn't have a magnitude setting and only summons the rune object. The 'explosive reaction' of the object is actually an enchantment, listed under the enchantments in the Creation Kit.

      Good luck!

Thanks for the reply yunage. I'm finally done with work and other stuff, like making conflict resolution for the new LOOT load order. So it's time to check this mod out.

With other mods like immersive creatures, high level enemies and so on it's really needed to have some sort of uncapper for spells.
