Because the game is new and the textures suck in parts... They look very nice but the resolution is lacking. I have only done some stuff for other games before, cant speak for the other guys.
I did the elven bow&sword so far, the rest of the weapons will follow and eventually the armor. Its a lot work doing it proper with repainting the whole texture and shadowmaps etc...

It looks better than the original, so I'll DL anyways. Can someone please explain to me why there are suddenly so many "Hi-Res" Re-texture modders? Are these all guys coming from Oblivion modding?
