Hey Garfunkiel, if you're still around, I have a belated bug report... I've been using ver 1.2.0 since it came out and it has been exactly the save game tool I've always wanted to have, so bug report aside, thanks for making this! I finally upgraded to 1.2.1, but it crashes on launch whatever I try.
I've tried re-downloading a couple times, extracting in different locations, but every time I double-click SkyrimCharacterSelect.exe, a Windows dialogue flashes briefly saying 'SkyrimCharacterSelect.exe has stopped responding', but then that goes away and that's it.
I'm on Windows 8.1 64-bit. I can give you whatever details about my Skyrim setup you want but I don't think that even matters since it's crashing before launch.
So, I've gone back to ver 1.2.0 for now and that works just fine; I don't know if I'm the only one having this issue since I'm the only one to post about it in 2 months? Either way, thanks for the awesome tool!
Great tool! Works like a charm for me. I have 5 characters of level 60+, and I keep (at least) 1 save per level around, for a total of over 300 saves. Since the regular launcher doesn't allow sorting by character name, I always had to browse to my saves folder, find the most recent save for the character I wanted to play, and then find back the number of the save in the (looooong) list in the SKSE launcher. This tool solves that problem beautifully. Endorsed and kudos!
The only suggestion I have would be to make it possible to select a save game in your tool, and then start Skyrim and loading that particular save game right away (so basically it would completely skip the regular load screen). I do not know if it is possible at all though, it would depend on the regular launcher and/or SKSE supporting command line parameters to immidiately load a saved game I suppose, which I do not believe they do - but who knows, maybe you have some clever idea to make that work.
For those using the ENB Injector and would like to use this to organize their saves if you would like an easier way to launch everything heres how assuming you have everything installed to the default directory of steam:
1. Install SkyrimCharacterSelect via the Nexus Mod Manager. 2. Open Notepad proceed to type the following:
Note: There should not be a space between "\Skyrim\ Data\"
3. Click File > Save As... rename the file to "Skyrim Launcher.bat" and from the drop down box labeled Save as type: select "All Files" and click save. 4. For those who would like the icon to have a better look Navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim" and place your newly created .bat file into the Skyrim folder. 5. Right click "Skyrim Launcher.bat" and click "Send to > Desktop (create shortcut)". 6. On your desktop rename the shortcut you just created to "The Elder Scrolls Skyrim". 7. Right click the shortcut and click "Properties" in the properties window select "Change Icon..." and click "Browse..." 8. Navigate to your Skyrim directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim" and select "SkyrimLauncher.exe" click "Ok" and "Ok" again to close the properties window. 9. Now test your shortcut if done correctly it will launch the ENB Injector and SkyrimCharacterSelect. 10. Once in SkyrimCharacterSelect hit "Alt" to enter the options menu, then select "SKSE" and make sure the box is marked then click "Save". 11. That's it your ready to go, this made it a lot easier on me hope it will do the same for you! Enjoy!

EDIT: And when I backtrack to 1.2.0 It works, but is all glitch and I can't start a file from it.
Quick request. Is it possible to add the option of only loading certain mods with certain saves?
I would like that because of the different characters I play.
When I start program, my Window stop this file. So I can't start the game
I have Win7, Framework 4.5
Is it work at only Framework 2.0?
(sorry, I cannot speak English well)
