just remove the items in the Interface Folder, leave the Translate_ENGLISH.txt file but edit line 6 from '$360 ControllerPS3 Controller' to '$360 ControllerXbox Controller'

If you're using a DS3 or DS4 as an X360 controller (via SCP/DS4Win or whatever), shoulder button and trigger assignments are backwards in gamepad.txt. Will cause R1 to display as R2 etc.

    Should be
    PS3_LT0x0009
    PS3_RT0x000a
    PS3_LB0x0100
    PS3_RB0x0200

Adding to Jakelino's comment, not only this seems to work best regarding sony button art, it also is modularly compatible with skyui: By removing the respective menu files, you can also keep both skyui and button art intact without going back to the vanilla menu.
I renamed/removed bartermenu.swf, containermenu.swf, craftingmenu.swf, inventorylists.swf, inventorymenu.swf, startmenu.swf, and translate_english.txt besides the ones mentioned by Jakelino. It -works-. The startmenu will keep the xbox buttons, but considering it is new in SSE and it's still one we usually don't spend that long in, anyone using this setup or Jakelino's setup should be fine.

If anyone wants to use this on SSE, here's how:

    1) Extract the BSA using any tool of your choice, I used BAE (Bethesda Archive Extractor).
    2) Delete the ESP.
    Should be working.

    --If using SkyUI--
    Delete (from this mod): map.swf, magicmenu.swf, giftmenu.swf, favoritesmenu.swf.
The reason you delete those, it's because they are from the vanilla UI, but SkyUI replaces them which means you only need to replace SkyUI buttons, and this mod already does that.

Can anyone confirm that they have gotten this mod working with both SkyUI and SkyUI Away installed?

oddly the older version of this mod works for skyui and ui-away except it doesnt change the legendary button in the skill and perks menu

You should make a SkyUI version of this. I know there's already one but it doesn't replace ALL the icons, only some of them. Would uninstall the other one in a heart beat if you were able to make a version for it that actually replaces all of the icons.

No this is for the default UI, for SkyUI use Mardoxx's mod SkyUI-PS3Buttons
