Was this supposed to give gold some weight when you have it in your inventory? I was hoping to have gold weigh something but it doesnt seem to. How many coins do you need to have for it to weigh anything? I figure each coin weighs 0.01 right? 0.001?
Endorsed for pairing with PerMa. Weight came out correctly, and this is a must-have ability where coin already has weight in PerMa, but was missing the inventory inclusion that this fixes.
One issue that needs a fix if possible: Ownership. When you drop coin into a cell, the spawned items/containers are owned by the cell owners. So, picking the coins up is now flagged as theft.
Dude NICE, I accidentally made gold weightless (or perhaps the mod that renames Gold to Septims hid the value), so I was looking for a way to change it back. Endorsed!
This is amazing but why isn't the weight working in my inventory? I can see that my carry weight has increased, but it still says that Septim (xxx) has weight of 0. Isn't it supposed to say the weight of the stack or something? thats what it looks like in ur picture. Lol. Unless the 0 is referring to the fact that each coin weighs only .001 and that brings me to my request. Can you make a version of this with .002 and .005? .005 is a perfect compromise between realism/immersion and game functionality. thanks this is an amazing mod!!!
Also, I'd like to report that it does merge well with other mods (as long as you keep the assets and GRUPs intact).
Only bug I can report is that when dropping large amounts of gold, they'll drop into groups of 13. 12 coins worth 1, and 1 coin worth the rest of the amount minus eleven (8500 dropped becomes 8489 and 12). I'm not sure if this was the intended behavior. This causes a problem however, because when you pick them all up you'll have one more gold than you started with. Characters can actually make a profit by dropping and picking up their gold repeatedly. (No problem so far with the smaller denominations.)
Edit: Math
Edit 2: I've noticed that it only happens when I drop large amounts of coins (within 10-12 coins of my total) right when I reload a save. But if I continually drop coins, I can drop more and more without the extra coins spawning. I guess it only happens when I game is reloaded and immediately tries to drop all of their coins at once?
That is odd and it is most certainly not intended. I only tested dropping smaller amounts (<= 100 gold) before release and I didn't notice anything odd. I can't seem to reproduce your results. The only odd thing I'm noticing now is that dropping all (X amount) of the gold at once causes one stack (X-1) of gold and a single gold to be dropped instead of one stack (X) of gold. However, I can drop large amounts (tested with amounts between 1 and 8600) of gold at once and have it drop as a single stack as long as the amount is less than the total amount of gold in my inventory.
Do you have Papyrus logging enabled? If so, then could you have a look to see if you can find any mention of "_mrj_", which is the prefix of the scripts in this mod?
EDIT: I didn't notice any duplication going on either so I'm not sure how an extra gold coin is appearing for you.
Yeah, I just edited the original post. The closer I got to dropping my total, the more extra gold coins it spawned (to a max of 12 at reload, and they were fewer and fewer the longer I let the save run.) It seems that I took the (X-1) thing that you noticed upon dropping all of your gold, and exacerbated it lol.
Overall an remarkably well put together mod, and I thank you tons for making it.
I'll do some more testing while I wait for more feedback from others. If it turns out to be a common issue rather than some weird fluke, then I'll see if I can figure out an alternate way of dropping the gold.
you could also add a minor script that makes any gold dropped in stacks over a certain amount drop a coin purse instead. so for example if it was set to a hundred gold and i dropped 99 septims or less, they would fall to the ground as individual couns, but if i dropped 100 or more septims at once i would just drop a coin purse to the ground with that value. of course as youre the mod maker i'd wager (haha) that you could choose to make the minimum amount to drop a coin purse whatever you deemed best, or just make it customizable. but making it customizable would probably be more work than just the coin purse script by itself, so its up to you what to do if anything at all.
so how is it in the spending area of game is it like iron arrows were your speech skill mess up the value, like one to zero. because i like the ideal of this mod, you kinda have to hand them your gold. oh and dose blacksmiths take it also?
Seems to work just fine. I did quick tests with both the regular and script-free version of the mod (version 2 Legendary edition). Attributes are copied correctly from copper septim (modified Gold001). The regular version leads to only the dummy form showing up as copper septims while the script-free version leads to copper (dummy form from my mod), silver, and gold septims showing up.
Not only does gold not show as a line item in your inventory but you are not allowed to drop gold in-world. As in, I am decorating my home and want to place a few coins on my desk or, better yet, make a bed of coins around my dragon trophy (that might be a nifty idea). Anyway, the game (without mods) will not allow you to drop either gold or keys in-world.
This mod takes care of the gold issue...now I'm simply lacking something for keys which will allow me to use the keyholder pegs I've lifted from a few places with my positioning tool
Downloading this now and can't wait to play with it!!!
I haven't worked on it for a while since I've been working on redoing All Geared Up and Five O'Clock Shadow from scratch. AGU has got that treatment already and requires less attention for a while (still need to fix a few bugs). I'm just about to have version 3.0.0 of 5OS ready for release (hopefully during this week or early next week). Then I have to fix an issue in Field Alchemy.
Project Ilmarinen has been waiting for new versions of SKSE, but now that they are here I should be able to continue working on it.

Only problem is that if you drop your gold in foreign houses taking it back is stealing.

It seemed to work just fine when I did quick tests when reyzark asked the same question back in July.
