25.07.2017: updated to technically work with enbseries 0.315, no settings changed. Please make a clean uninstall of previous version before installing 1.6! Delete enbeffectprepass.fx from your Skyrimfolder if it's still there after uninstalling v1.5
okay. im gonna sound like an idiot here but, ive played skyrim since its release in 2011 but have never had a good pc to mod on, now my specs are gtx 1050(2gb) amd fx6300 8gb drr3 running at 1600mhz i can run about everything in the wilds but if i even look at trees or a town my game stutters to a halt and i cant figure out why
Hey everyone! nearly 2019 and I'm back again. Still my favorite ENB! For those of you who don't know already.. If you are still experiencing immediate crash on loading Skyrim with either the error message " Failed to initialize renderer " (which is what i got on trying to play in fullscreen) or the error message " the procedure entry point createDXGIFactory2 could not be located blah blah blah " (which is what I would get when I tried to play the game windowed. There is a really simple fix. It took me a bit to find it and its here if you dig just a little, but I'll save you the leg work. In your SKYRIM INSTALLATION FOLDER.. there is a file named dxgi.dllmake a copy of this file for a backup just in case. Now rename dxgi.dll (not the copy) to d3d11.dll and your done! Game launched perfectly and enb working for me HAPPY NEW YEAR
i'm having a bit of problem related to this ENB. i heard about it from a reddit post that a better than enb than realvision was made i immediately went to this site and downloaded it. Unfortunately problem persist. As soon as i launched the game from my mod manager (mod organizer 2) using SKSE, i'd rather say it closes? like there's no message related to what the others are saying below. thanks
During the day, whenever there's an overcast sky, it's really dark. Tried finding "EnableCloudShadows=false" in the enbseries.ini but there's no such entry. Or do I simply need to add it manually? Also, changing the values for indoors doesn't change the fact that it's very dark. Oh, and some rainy weather completely smears the view, transforming raindrops into strange translucent blades.
I get this error message when I open Skyrim through MO "Unknown error trying to initialize renderer." I've been trying to get this working for 2 hours and getting depressed, please help!
As soon as I want to write a good review about the preset, something changes immediately. I don't know what happened, but by setting this preset, the caves and nights became very dark /with RLO/. Now I use this preset + Relighting Skyrim / Jit version/. Relighting Skyrim does not make any changes, except for redirecting light. In the game it looks great, so everyone who has the same problems-try using Relighting Skyrim instead of RLO and good ELFX.

Was already starting to get worried I had borked something up beyond repair as I was trying to set up an ENB manager at the same time.
Be sure to back up the file first, as danzilla1979 recommended.
