As always, save your game before you try out a mod, my mod is no exception.
Welcome to my Nyhus mod.
This one is part of the trilogy of mods which expands the game enormously (a few Skyrim holds in total), by giving your player the possibility to venture behind the Skyrim borders. You'll meet new creatures, NPC's, ingredients, food, quests, followers, etc...
I made these mods myself, although I recieved support from various people who were happy to voiceact, helping me out with some issues I faced, giving me constructive feedback, and Jknjb in particular for making the AS-LAL Extension. I thank you all.
This work is almost finished, although it still needs a bit finetuning and some NPC's still need the right voices. You'll sure meet a few little issues, but please remember, I did this work for free. The main landscaping, quests and everything should work fine now.
Two important things you should do by playing my mods:
- After installing my mod (this counts for every mod you have installed), always save your game and restart your saved game. Otherwise you won't hear dialogues from NPC's. - You have to unlock the borders, which is easy (read the description on the main page, or on the read me file, how to do so). Otherwise you'll get the message: ''You can't go that way'"
You can start a new game in Nyhus area with the 'The new AS-LAL Extension Nyhus-Pryai-Grondal Start' by jknjb. This additional mod, which is also downloadable from this site, gives you the opportunity to start your character in one of the three locations in Nyhus area!
FAQ:
- Will these three border mods be merged? The answer for several reasons is: no. - Is this mod compatible with Beyond Skyrim's Bruma mod? The answer is: yes!
- worked around Nyhus - added zombies from MihailMods plus ingredient - added a small quest - removed that ugly shiny grass I added some time ago - some voicerecordings were too loud, I tweaked these recordings a bit. - reworked a dungeon and a few other locations
This is very nice :). I will go for a walk and see all that can be seen . I really liked the Folkstead/morreath mode you made, so when i saw this it was a instant download for me .
Lovely mod thank you for it, as well as your other border mods.
Question: How does one go about finding the key to the Grondal castle or otherwise owning the castle? I've found the adventurer's book and found the wife, but there doesn't seem to be a next step or clue to follow.
Thanks for this cool DLC-size map mods. Let me give some feedbacks on the entire Trilogy mod, including Haafstad and Folkstead:
Pros: - Great maps for exploration beyond Skyrim border gates and invisible walls. You'll literally find something beyond game boundaries. - Kirkmore has a unique terrain for a change. A lot warmer than the cold tundra of Skyrim. A great place for a Dragonborn to have their vacation from their tedious hero and courier duties. - Nyhus has the best quests to offer. - More Thalmor kicking action in Nyhus. - Unique enemies and items. - Challenging number of enemies, especially in Nyhus. - All lore-friendly stuff. - No conflicts whatsoever and doesn't ruin a save file.
Cons: - Voice acting. But that's understandable. - Two male voice lines have painfully loud volumes. Hope you'll soften those audio. - Might need more quests. Hopefully it would be possible to have some vanilla radiant quests (like The Companions, College, and Dark Brotherhood) marked in these areas. - Too quiet. No background music played on extended Skyrim areas and dungeons. Though Kirkmore plays normally. Good thing this doesn't affect the overall BGM of my save game.
This trilogy has aged well and still looking forward for some tweaks, fixes, and new stuff. Thanks again for all the hard work.
Where can i find the LAL exttention? On the nexus AS is gone and the only variant that i can find is for SKYRIM SE. Any ideas if i can find it for LE? Thank you!

Thank you for the feedback! I don't have plans to continue to work on my mods, but who knows, maybe in the future.
