Lydia still has vanilla hair. I pre-installed the mod as well as the required mods before starting a new save. She had the custom hair but then when I quit the game and went back in, she had vanilla hair. Please help
Please make sure you have the correct Apachii hair pack. My Lydia requires the Female Only pack, not the combined male and female pack. If you have that, do you have any other mods that alter Lydia in any way?
Downloaded the appachi files then this one. skyrim quits out as soon as it gets past bethesda logo when lovely lydia is activated. if i de activate it skyrim works fine. Solutions?
Do you have the correct Apachii Hair pack? Lydia requires the Female Standalone pack, not the main male and female pack. If you don't have the correct one, it will crash because the correct master file is missing.
When I tried making my Skyrim game vanilla again, properly deleted all my mods, including this one, but when I loaded my save file, Lydia has gone bald. I have tried everything in my knowledge but I dont have any modding experience so I dont know what to do... Can anyone please tell me a way to fix this?
You should never remove mods on a current save and then try to play with that save. Things can break and other oddness can occur, like a bald Lydia. I would advise starting a new character, or at the very least, trying a save game script cleaner on your current save, although it may not help.
Ugh i want it but i dont know if its this mod that wont work or the appachi females! >_< FNV was so much easier to mod, for now i just keep going between Apachi females and this to redownload but its always the same result! no change at all!
Okay finally apachi females has decided to work properly! however- Lovely Lydia promptly crashes upon start up... eh... help?... I mean i see i literally just need "Lovely lydia" hair from their but uh... where would that be? i just see Full Files that cover only cats or elfs... and yea i even looked for version 1.4 but that is also "gone"
Okay- sorry for the long spammish type of text but uh- it would appear Version 1.4 has merged with 1.5 of female hairs. meaning 1.5 is now required over 1.4. correct me if im wrong but thats what im getting at. anyways thank you for the improvement!
It should be whichever version of the Apachii hair pack that is "Females Only." Also, make sure that you merge my meshes and textures with the ones in your Data folder. I haven't had a chance to update this mod to use the new version of Apachii hair, so there's a possibility that is the problem, although I don't think it should be because Lydia's hair is still part of the new version. If all else fails, Apachii may have the older version towards the bottom of her Files page. Let me know if this doesn't work.
just an error solved message.(suggestion) I launched Skyrim and it promptly crashed after d/l lovely lydia..........

I'm glad you solved your problem, but you didn't download the correct Apachii Hair Pack, which is why you got a crash to desktop. You need the Apachii Hair Female Pack for Lovely Lydia, not the regular Apachii Hair Pack. If you download the correct hair pack, you won't have any problems.
Did you add Lovely Lydia to an already existing save? Sometimes changes to characters that aren't exclusively physical (like the way she stands) are programmed into the character if you have already met them in-game and won't change. You may need to start a new character or go back to a pre-Lydia save in order to see the changes to her stance.
How strange. I exported her facegen data using Ctrl + F4 in the Creation Kit, so I'm uncertain why that would happen. Maybe try re-downloading and re-installing the mod in case it was a download issue. If that doesn't work, try downloading the Better Females by Bella textures I listed under recommended mods to see if that fixes the issue. If it does, let me know, and I'll see if I can do something about that.
If neither of these options work, let me know, and I'll try to figure something else out.
