Do Windhelm's guards get open faced helmets too? If it's between them having them, or all of them wearing Stormcloak helms, I think it'd be better to have no Stormcloak helms. Thing doesn't really match their outfits anyway
It's been quite some time since I made this mod, but I think I left the Windhelm guards with Stormcloak helms. That made sense to me at the time I constructed the mod.
It doesn't remove the original city helmet, does it? It's because i want a more realistic game, but also withou changing it 100%, If u know what I mean.
Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately, I don't think the guards inside the palace are of a different type to regular guards and so this would involve removing the existing guards and adding a new type of guard, which is a bit beyond the scope of the mod.
Thanks for the sugguestion though, and apologies that I cannot implement it.
Thanks for the comment. I can see the sense in your logic.
Historically, as far as we know, the Vikings (yes, I know Nords aren't really Vikings, but Vikings are the closest historical analogue) used open face helms with a nose guard, or semi-closed helms with 'metal goggles' protecting the eye area. There is only one surviving helmet in existence AFAIK, and it is of the latter type (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viking_Age_arms_and_armour#Helmet for the picture).
Logically, closed helms would also substantially impair the guards vision -- not useful for their occupation.
Overall, I think we have to agree to disagree on this one.

Just my thoughts.

I also feel that the citites are much more alive when the guards have faces.
