Yeah I looked at the records in TES5Edit and they definitely conflicted exactly the way you said. Thanks for this patch. I've been using RLO and SoS for months and never even noticed or maybe I just disregarded the anomalies thinking that Skyrim is just being Skyrim. I have 310 mods and 240 plugins and a lot of those are patches and patches for patches. Fortunately I've kept vigilance over everything I've installed and I'm careful to make sure most everything is compatible. I'm level 44 now and only have CTDs rarely.

    ENDORSED!

Can I use this mod with Weather and Ambience Overhaul - WAO? What's the correct load order for them?

I'm using RLO - brighter dungeons , and this patch seems to be for RLO - dungeons exclusively. I get a "missing masters: Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dungeons" error message from the MO. So what do I do?

Spapp, you still need RLO- Dungeons, Brighter dungeons is an addon for Dungeons module as is stated in the readme. It only changes the lighting. TES5edit shows it:

Sure? When I install both, Dungeons and Brighter Dungeons in combination, the Dungeons are still too dark. You need to use Brighter Dungeons alone to have more ambient light. I solved the incompatibility by renaming the Brighter Dungeons.esp file to Dungeons. The game works then, but I hope this won't cause other issues. Can you say something about that?

What sort of issues does this updated patch fix? I mean, what sort of incompatibilities would one notice to prompt them to use this patch?

I have SoS-D and pretty much every RLO esp running and I haven't noticed anything odd. What sort of problems should I be looking for to know if I would benefit from this?

The problem is, that both mods edit the properties of several interior cells.
SoS edits the "Acoustic Space" and RLO edits the "ImageSpace".
That means, depending on your load order you wouldn't have one of them in some interiors, because it got overwritten by the other one.

      I edited the description.
There is now a category called "What this mod does".
      Hope it helps.

@Strider: You don't notice the difference because you have never checked the esp's records. The incompatibility is not game breaking. You probably never noticed because RLO is supposed to load after sound mods. I predict if you were to load SOS under RLO you would see the incompatibility much easier. Because of your load order, it may seem like RLO works fine (which it should) but you didn't notice that some interiors were missing "extra" sounds. Good job Rick Flair, if I didn't already patch mine I would download.

:-D I had to google Rick Flair to get it. How did you come up with that?

You're right, the incompatibility is not game breaking. If your load order was correct, you wouldn't get the improved reverb and background sound in some interiors.
Quite difficult to notice, but the conflicts are definitely there.

Thanks Sonic Blast Man! Maybe for the next version of RLO you won't have to do the patching your self ;-).
