Well this is not valid anymore as of 12/28/2017 because Ronnie Magnum modded a beautiful sword and scabbard if even better looking than this one. But thanks.
I know I'm few years late to the party, but damn, man. I said I ported it few post before. You could've contact me and would've sent you the mod for free. :D
ah sir, when i am trying to smith it, it confuses me? when i craft great valk it require valk, but when i craft valk it requires me great valk and ingots
those are the swapping recipes if you later want to change it from 1h to 2h or viceversa. There are also other recipes in steel section to craft it from materials.
Hey man I absolutely LOVE this weapon appearance but sadly I've long outgeared iron-tier weapons. Is there any chance you could make an updated, strong variant for end-game content? Currently with PerMa and Immersive Weapons my one-handers are already at ~90 damage, which makes the Valkyrjas useless, sadly.
My recomendation: - Download tes5edit: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25859 - Adjust the weapon damage and possibly crafting material (keywords) to your liking
Dear FrankFamily, I sent you a message. There are obviously a great many of us who are really hoping to see this made into an SSE version. I speak for myself, here when I say that I am actually desperate to see this happen. I, too, am willing to send you a donation, or direct Paypal payment, just for going through the trouble for it. Hopefully this comment will find you well. I sent you my personal contact info in the PM.
Hoping you'll still port this one day. I converted it on my own, everything works, but it looks horrible. Weird shading, almost black. Greatsword is usable, but still a little dark. I'd go back to oldrim in a heartbeat just for this sword, I miss it for my Nord, but the stability of SE is really hard to give up. Please consider it.
Side note - The ice blade of the monarch converts perfectly, so not sure what the difference is in the textures
Could also be the cubemaps being messed up. If you have recompressed make sure you did so as a cubemap not a "normal" 2D texture. There's should be a setting for that in any dds plugin.
May I ask the same question that was probably asked a thousand times? Why it is not ported to SE? It's obviuosly a few min job for someone who originally made the sword. I would give a try to SE, but I don't want to play it without this sword anyway. I would conver it myself, but then I can't share this for obvious reason. So it's really better to be done by author.
It would take me the same amount of time as any other person as I no longer have the source files of this, I would have to download my own mod, port and upload. In any case, yes, it's a very small amount of time, even if you count the amount of mods I have. But the porting process itself it's rather boring, and It's easy, anyone with enough interest can do it themselves (for their own personal use).
In any case the main reason is that I made this mod for Skyrim a while ago, i was fully happy with it at the time of release, wouldn't have uploaded it otherwise. Now SSE comes and people want me to take the time to port it in it's current form to SSE, but i'm no longer fully happy with it. Before I port/reupload it I would like to change some things and improve others but given I no longer have the source files it would be quicker to just start from scratch, so that lives it in a limbo.
So, time is a factor, i've been pretty busy this year with a lot of stuff I didn't ask to happen in this order, but above that is that i don't feel good with porting them as they are now. I'm aware this may sound odd and I don't expect anyone to understand what goes on inside my head, it's just the way I feel.
Regarding your PM, the intel plugin is good, much better (and newer) than Nvidia's if you ask me. Just choose "Cubemap from layers" on texture type (it's probably the format in which it imported, you should see the six layers +/- X,Y,Z.) and Compression "BC1 No alpha (Linear)" (DXT1 in Nvidia's) and they should work fine in SSE.
I've already converted it actually. Thanks for the answer though. I've used BC1 for diffuse and specular maps and BC7 (with alpha) for normal maps. As for the cubemaps, I've made them uncompressed 32bpp from layers naturally. Ofc I've also converted the meshes and an ESP plugin. Also cleaned few dirty records. At the end packed everything to BSA. As for re-uploading. This is fully your decision ofc, but if you will change your mind, just let me know and I'll send it to you. Thanks again for the answer and most of all for the sword.

I'll probably port it for free eventually.
