Why you did not use in work the original HD-textures from HRTP? Your textures turned out the same size or larger, because you used the very demanding file format. But it is clearly seen that the this textures is much lower quality than the original.
Great job man! But could you do two things? Could you make the sleeves of the black vampire armor black as it is with the red vampire armor? And can you PLEASE make the Master vampire armor without the cape, with the shoulder guards or without? That would look INCREDIBLE! Please let me know if you would do that.
The sleeves should be simple enough, and I could probably do something to hide the cape, but the shoulder guards are part of the model, and would require that to be edited rather than the texture, as far as I am aware, so at the moment, I couldn't remove them (which is a shame, as I agree a variant without the shoulder guards would look awesome)
If I ever update this mod, I'll see if I can include these as optional alternate textures or variants.
None of the images are photoshopped- I'm assuming you're referring to the ENB preset used in the images (I believe it's the Winterfell ENB), which makes any texture look better than it does in vanilla Skyrim- I'd recommend using it if possible.
I appreciate the work you did with the recolouring but unfortunately your files have all less resolution then the official High Resolution Texture Pack and are visible inferior to them.
Most have now been updated with new textures which use the Hi-Res textures as a base- However, this particular mod is not intended to be a High Resolution Texture, and instead is simply a modified version of the vanilla resolution texture.
so, haven't downloaded but looks like you darkenned (maybe sharpened) and save uncompressed right? well, as far as i know, saving uncompressed a texture that was before compressed doubles the size and doesnt increase the quality at all because you are keeping compression artifacts anyway... Also keeping textures uncompreessed is nonsense, you can keep the normal map uncompressed but the other textures can be compressed without noticiable quality loss. generally: diffuse or color texture ===> DXT1 diffuse or color with transparency (alpha) ===> DXT5 _m and other textures without alha ===> DTX1 normal map (_n) ===> DTX5 or uncompressed 8.8.8.8 saying all this based of the image uploaded by lagley02 btw
Downloaded the textures, you got some full white alphas that are unneeded an increase size. Example: Boots (saved as dtx1 without alpha) 1366kb ==> 171kb robes (saved as dxt5 as it uses alpha) 5462kb ==> 1366kb
Also as its not a retex made from scratch, is a modification of the original, you should work with the HRTP as they are higher res, and include comparison screenshots.
It may not be the best, but it indeed looks quite good compared to the provided textures. Wonder if it's because of the ENB, even if i can see an obvious difference in some details.
