calarand77 made one of the best redone mods of this place, Iron workbench was a bonus even to just view it:) Pool was amazing job, lol, took the lore friendly path:) Some times we forget such Master works like this and we move on to another mod, the only thing was lacking was a Horse stable for your poor horse outside waiting. I want this mod still for my game, SE, Thank you calarand77 for your genius makeover and kojak747 for his genius updates and care to this mod:) kudos to and thanks:)
Just done a heap of work on this mod and worked in some nice stuff from other HH mods. Will upload soon. What's worth mentioning is if anyone uses Real Shelter the trigger box is too big. You can fix it by editing Real Shelter.esp plugin in tes5edit and punching in the values in the picture I've uploaded to the screenshots here.
First off, I love this mod. This has made my role-playing experience really very enjoyable. I actually wanted to make a request. If you're planning to work on this mod again soon, can you place a dragon mask holding busts in the spa area? That would be pretty radical. I found this modding resource but have no idea how to go about using it: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/32550
I honestly love this. It just works so well with High Hrothgar. Honestly, this is what Vanilla High Hrothgar should have looked like. The suite should have been in the vanilla game from the very beginning!
That being said...there is one tiny small thing that is kinda bugging me. In the suite, the light from the fire causes A LOT of shadow striping within the room. Is there anyway I can fix this? I use the Relighting Skyrim mod, btw. It doesn't conflict, but I'm wondering if that has something to do with the shadow striping in the suite.
Damn, sorry to hear you're having this problem. I think there must be some sort of conflict, if not with the Relighting mod then maybe with something else, because I've never had any problems with striping there, and I've installed/re-installed Skyrim several times, in multiple mod configurations since I made this overhaul. I wish I was more savvy as far as technical stuff goes, but isn't there a way to minimize striping by editing shadows properties in Skyrim's ini file? I know most ENBs do the trick on their own, but maybe some further tweaking could help... I really wish I could offer better advice.
ok this looks great and I want it BUT am confused about the choices
the 3 main choices are mutually exclusive? can use only one at a time?
the option that is there to use INSTEAD of the main ones ... is that a mix of the smithy and room and pool?
I did read a comment from a while back that asked for a "all in one" and you replied that you needed to learn more before being able to do that request
so is that optional file the result?
again looks great and am hoping I can have it all with no conflicts Great Job THANKS!!
Nope, I never got back to doing the one file version, simply because I lost interest in Skyrim and moved on.
That said, if you want all three options, that is: 1- the lighting and decorations for the entire HH interior, 2- the player bedroom room and pool room, 3- the roof smithy, you need to download all three files.
There is an additional file that replaces the pool room with an interior smithy, and you use that file instead of the pool one.
The new workbench dragon mesh file that I linked in the description, is to be used instead of the roof smithy file.
I hope that helped a bit. If anything's still confusing, please, do ask.
I just downloaded renthal311's brand new blacksmith iron dragon mod today, which replaces the smithy workbenches with a gorgeous one with iron dragons on it. However in the discussion on that page we agreed that it really deserved a unqiue location i Skyrim rather than acting as a general replacement for all benches, so I thought of High Hrothgar...which lead me to discover this wonderful mod which had somehow passed me by but is now part of my main playthrough. How I added Ren's new bench is detailed on Ren's mod's page but essentially I replaced the outside bench here with Ren's. If it is OK, I've submitted the admittedly crude screenshots here as well as to Ren's mod? Great work both of you!
You should have my reply to your PM in your inbox, and I will add your screenies to the mod description when your edit is released and I can link it here.
And thank you for the kind words, I'm so happy you enjoy my mod!
This is wonderfull, I havent become the full dragonborn on this playthrough yet but Ive had a peek and it is a work of art, the lighing and atmosphere is beautiful and I cant wait to give it a full go - I also thank you thank you thank you for including a Thunderchild edition, I was all set to bemoan not being able to use the apartment but was thrilled to find you have included compatibility many many thanks for a wonderful place to stay and bask in the warmth after a cold snowy freezing trip up the mountain
Well, it's been a while, but I'm back to Skyrim and yes, still using the mod without any problems. Anyway, you probably don't need my answer any more, but for anyone else interested in this in the future - and I repeat here what is clearly written in the description - this mod changes the already existing lights in HH interior, and adds new ones. By default, it will NOT be compatible with any mods that make changes to lighting. It won't ruin your save or crash the game, of course, but you will end up with too many lights and tons of ugly flickering.
