I love kingdom hearts and someone should make more keyblades and and standalone version. some clothes from kingdom hearts could be nice too. they would be the best mods in skyrim
This mod is beautifully done, but maybe it could replace something stronger? Like maybe the Ebony sword? I hate the way the Ebony weapons look, but they're fairly powerful weapons. I can agree with others that this would be a cool bound weapon, but I imagine creating a spell from scratch is difficult, so maybe it could just replace the bound sword's current model?
And maybe you could make a 2H version that uses the 2H axe idle stance? I know it can be done, because the Darksiders weapons do just that. Granted, they also make the 2H axe and hammer animations into the 2H sword ones when swung, but that's fine, because seriously, who uses 2H axes and hammers? Great work, again. Gotta admire people who make such handsome mods.
I definitely think that the keyblade should be for bound weapon speel, it would be more like in the game where they conjure it yp. When i fisrt used the bound sword spell I noted, woah this looks a lot like when sora gets out his keyblade. Just throwing out ideas, awesome mod by the way.
Ok, I hate to be a critic when I have negative stuff to say, but here is what I have to say when I list my expectations of a keyblade mod in Skyrim:
- It should never be a retexture of another weapon, it should always be its own individual weapon.
- When it comes to weapon power, even the original keyblade or ventus's original keyblade probably(but not certainly) should not be as weak as a iron sword. The power of at least the original keyblade should be on par with perhaps a glass sword, or at most, the bound sword spell. But definately not a iron sword.
- The Ultima keyblade's power should be maybe a bit weaker than the masamune found in the masamune mod(you can search for it here), or if your looking for a skyrim comparison, the ultima weapon should probably be on par with the blades sword. However, to try and make up for this weakness, like in the game series, it should have enchantments to boost magicka and a few other attributes.
- I'm in quite a debate as to whether keyblades should be reusable powers or permanent weapons. I am actually leaning towards reusable powers because in the KH series, most keyblade wielders conjure their keyblades to fight instead of unsheathing them like a traditional weapon. If it is decided to be a reusable power, then it should definately be a 1-click use instead of a hold-and-release function like bound weapons. In addition, while the animation of it would be nice, I think it should also be speed up, so it can be used almost the moment you click on it.
- Some people have stated that keyblades should either function using the mace, axe or sword weapon types in skyrim. I think its a unique idea to make keyblades unique weapons with unique abilities. Perhaps, however, the ultima keyblade could be a bit unique, with all 3 combined: The critical hit of a sword, the armor ignoring capabilities of a mace, and the chance for damage over time like a axe. I'm not sure how that would go about, but its definately interesting.
I am happy though that people are beginning to take a interest in making the keyblade weapons from the KH series available for use in Skyrim. While I think we still have plenty of work to do, it's good to see that perhaps this will come to light someday.
