When you make an enchantment for a weapon, you set the enchantment cost to 0.

Nice mod. I really like new weaponry in Skyrim, especially if it's something related to a guild. Dunno why, I just like 'em. Take this endorsement, I hope it will serve you well.

This may be so, but effectiveness with weapons works both ways. Against someone equally skilled with any other type of sword (or against anyone in armor, for that matter), the katana wielder is more than likely to lose.

Then again this is a fantasy game, so there's no point in saying one weapon is inferior to another when magic is involved. Enchantments are paramount in giving non-threatening weapons some potential they wouldn't normally have.

From a person trained in both Katana (Niten Ryu, Kendo and Aikika) and also well versed in use of European weapons, it is all dependent on armour. An assassin would likely avoid armoured targets, and strike when they remove their armour, in which case, a fast slicing weapon would be ideal for a quick kill. If armoured, the user strikes around armour, which is precisely what the Katana specializes in, only beaten in this regard (swords only) by the rapier.

Hm. The backstory is reasonable enough, but it seems like a trained assassin and warrior would use a more effective weapon than a katana.

OTOH, effectiveness is dependent on what one is comfortable with, isn't it? Since she was a former member of the Blades, a katana is what she was most comfortable with. A weapon is only as effective as its wielder. A katana may be less effective to you, but your ideal weapon may be less effective to someone else. A gun might be considered a devasating weapon in the Elder Scrolls world, but it's still useless if the shooter can't hit the broad side of a castle.

So, does it get stronger with each person you kill? Is there anyway you can make a disenchantable version? I want to put it on a bow as well.

Well, no. It'll get stronger when you temper it. And I just included disenchantable versions.

So you made two versions, depending on the path you choose in the quest line?

Yes. Though you could get the sword either way if you use the "destroy" mod. However, I didn't want it found too soon if you decided to join up.
