Doesn't work for me, the first slave I saw I tried talking to him, he said something like 'yes?' and then they all became hostile

It worked fine for me, and I have used it for years. I'm about to try my hand at a personal port for SE.

Edit: Just tested it in SE, works fine after saving the ESP in the new CK.

Would you ever upload the ported mod? I'd love to have this on my modlist :D

I'm not the original mod author, and the permissions on this mod don't say much - I've not uploaded to Nexus before, so I am not sure about mods that don't give explicit permission.

That said, the original mod is only three records in an ESP, and no scripts.  All you need to do to convert it is open it in the SSE creation kit and save it.

Great little mod, have you thought about contacting the USKP people to get this incorporated?

I like the idea of such a quest or questline, but I'd rather play the game than spend all that time learning how to make such a thing let alone actually make it.

Its funny that I never thought to mod this myself since I spend a lot of time using the console to prevent the slaves from being hostile to me. It's a great idea and one that could be developed into a full fledged quest. It's surprising that Bethesda didn't think of it. Wait a minute. No its not. =P Thank you for sharing this very handy mod!

What slaves? Are there humans in Blackreach?

Excellent Idea, liberate rather than slaughter the poor trapped slave's, You could make a quest from that and perhaps missions to the various Dwemer city's and outposts to free trapped slave's,. If you were feeling really ambitious a quest to free Blackreach and those slaves whom did not want to return to the surface could settle part's of it with a town and merchant's as well as perhaps ongoing missions to hold back the Falmer hoard, it is a shame that black reach is so small and there are not numerous black reach type level's and some with vampire denizen's and perhaps even kingdom's interconnecting other part's of Skyrim or even Tamriel but that would be a gargantuan work, still the oldest TES games where mainly dungeon crawlers.
Downloading so that I can endorse.

Yah, I was going to suggest something along those lines too. Start a slave revolt!
