Currently the mod requires 2 pieces of raw meat for each potion, but for the Hunterborn/Realistic Looting etc version it 'only' requires 10 raw meat. I say only because depending on your settings you can easily get 90 pieces of raw meat from a horse, or around 18 or so on a deer with the Hunterborn mod. That's actually a great disparity of effort between the two versions.
Should I reduce the vanilla version to only one raw meat?
Hello Kudara Love this mod, playing a vamp with better vampires, works positively fine for me , even tho biting neck to rank up with bv , I'm still glad this sort mod was made, and yes its very immersive imo... Thank You, Endorsed Kudo'd
Good mod. I'm playing a vamp playthrough in Special Edition and it's nice to find out that the vanilla version of this works in SE.
I would suggest, however, that for those who, like me, want the animal blood potions without Hunterborn but who are playing on Special Edition, that you put a link to this version in the SE mod's description, so people aren't left wondering if the vanilla version of this mod will or won't work in Special Edition. Or perhaps just put up a download to it and say it doesn't need Hunterborn on the SE site. It'd do wonders for reducing confusion either way.
I can't endorse it yet, I only downloaded a couple minutes ago and have to wait another 15 minutes or so. But I will later today.
I noticed a little problem with your mod when using the Hunterborn version with Hunterborn, at least for the Potion of Deer Blood.
The Venison meat gathered from Elk after Field Dressing and Butchering them through Hunterborn is different from the Venison meat available in the base game.
I had 30 Venison (Elk) from Field Dressing + Butchering an Elk via Hunterborn, but only 1 'Venison' from also manually looting it:
It's clear it's trying to use the 'base game' version of Venison since it shows I have 1 out of 10 on me, whilst instead it should be 30 in theory. http://i.imgur.com/U6c0qgq.jpg

I don't know if this was intended, but if not, it would require a compatibility patch that changes your recipes in the Hunterborn version to use the Venison item type gathered by Field Dressing + Butchering, this thread might be helpful, and I've also made similar patches before if you still need help: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1066102-how-do-i-make-a-compatibility-patch/
Hunterborn's special variants for meat: http://i.imgur.com/3khP9dp.png
so it'd be hunterborn butchered version of meats for the following: Rabbits, Mammoths, Goats, Deers
I can't seem to find a Hunterborn food meat item for: Horkers, horses, or cows, for those I'd recommend reverting the hunterborn version value to the 'regular/vanilla' one, a.e. Ox/Cow 10 to 2, etc.
I don't know if you still watch the comments Kudara, but do you know if this is compatible with Better Vampires? I'd assume so because as far as I remember, BV doesn't mess with blood potions. Vampiric Thirst on the other hand doesn't work with this, as that one changes bottled blood all around.
This is an awesome idea. This would be cool to add to Falion as an alternative for curing your vampirism. This path would make you perhaps less evil and even a little more tolerated.
Will download as soon as I become a vampire again.
Well you can roleplay as less evil, but really the general populace shouldn't have a clue about your character's less violent eating habits any more than they have a clue you are a vampire at all. Which really your appearance should be a dead giveaway.
why mountain flowers and lavendar that does not seem like something that would create a blood potion how bout just Meat? or you could have it as loot you can get froom dead animals
