LEAVING THIS PAGE UP FOR REFERENCE.

Mod Organizer Video series is back on track. Video uploads will be slow as they correspond with the S.T.E.P. guide. The old videos are still helpful but are being fazed out to make way for the new, more precise, S.T.E.P. versions.

If anyone needs to contact me directly I am happy to help the best I can. Posting here should be for all you to help each other (myself included). I only check the POSTS once or twice a week but I do make a point to respond to everyone that I can, the best I can. PM me if I can be of help to you as I check nexus daily.

I am participating in a "Thank a Mod Author" campaing with the Tarsh Gaming crew this month. It is a "pay it forward with a thank you" drive. Every day find your favorite author on Nexus and post a note on a mod of theirs that you enjoyed. Then click on their profile and select Give Kudos. Let's be thankful for all the men and women who came before us with mods, guides and shenanigans so that we could enjoy them.

Thank you Michael for some of the absolute best video tutorials for moddding our favorite Bethesda games.

I KNOW THIS ISN'T THE PLACE BUT I AM LOOKING FOR EXPERT ADVICE! perhaps someone knows a link ?After MANY HOURS of play I suddenly find myself being attacked by guards everywhere I go. I went back to a save where it did not happen but I lost 21 hours of gameplay! Loading all subsequent saves to that, my I fast traveled to Whiterun and was attacked on sight! I used ModOrganizer, LOOT, TES5Edit, and Wryebash to mod my game and drastically reduced and crashes and was really enjoying playing [for a change] when I ran into this. If someone knows the answer or a link, PLEASE let me know !!

To any long term users of MO that can answer it for me,

I decided to do a clean install of SKyrim since to many things where getting ... well strange to say the least. And this time I wanted to use MO for real, and so far so good. But after I just installed the mod Violence ( A kill move mod. ) I remembered that the mod has a interface folder and a SKSE folder? Will mods that have those two folders ( Or only just one of those folders. ) work as intended with MO?

Or is it better to install mods manually if they only go into the interface folder or SKSE folder?

hey mates... maybe im posting this in the wrong place, im sry for that... im just super desperate... im at HOURS trying to fix this problem but i cant handle with this anymore... looks simple but i cant find how to fix it.. i get MO to play Requiem Overhaul, but after hours trying to deal with this new tool, im stuck. My load order is wrong, unofficial skyrim patch is below the unofficial danguard patch, and i just cant do nothing to change it. When i install dawnguard, dragonborn and hearth fire unofficials they automatically turn black lines and get high priority, but when i install skyrym unofficial i cant put it black line and cant change the order above the black lines. plz someone help me to fix this, im getting crazy. btw, sorry for my bad english. and thanks a lot.
Check this screenshot for better understanding.

What's the difference between the downloads folder and mods folder?

Both seem to have the same files and take up a ton of space.
Would it be safe to delete the downloads folder ?

I've actually been attempting to get a hold of the ENB author bronze via email but have not heard back from him. I want to create an ENB tutorial on how to install it but I don't create any tutorials anymore without speaking directly to the authors. That way things can be approved and everything can be done accurately. Not just how I see it. Because the way I may see it may not get everyone 100% of the way there. I have a few tutorials on my youtube channel gamerpoets. So far just TAZ and RealVision which are both very different from one another and soon to be Vividian ENB. Perhaps checking them out may help in some way. If I get a response from bronze and a go head to create the video with his approval then I'll be doing a seasons tutorial as well. Though, I have a feeling that may be a long ways a way if at all.

From reading what you have posted it doesn't sound like you have done anything wrong. DId you make sure to use ENB version 236 and not a newer one? Also, Vram should not be 300. I have a 980. Vram should be 4096 (4 gig card, you dont add the two cards together is using sli, just one). reserved memory should be no higher than 512 (256 is possible). If you have the memoryexpandedx64=true... which is ok but step recommends against it as it causes some people issues, try setting that value to false in the enb.local.ini...Also, if you use nvidia inspector, make sure to try the default skyrim values first before tweaking it. I've had screen black and weird issues when changing certain inspector values.

if you are getting a message about turning off AA and AF you need to set imultisample to 0 as well as anisotropic filtering to 0 in the skyrim prefs.ini as well as in the skyrim launcher options menu. Hopefully that helps... all I can think of.

Alright, I'm going to run a theory by you guys and see what you think. A few weeks back I got a problem where my ENBs aren't taking effect (I get vanilla lighting no matter what ENB I use) and am only now getting around to fixing it. If I save my data folder, then delete the rest of my Skyrim directory, and redownload without trying to run MO or anything of the sort, then when I reinstall the game and SKSE, all the mods previously installed should still work yes? Since the file directories haven't changed, the data folder hasn't changed, and MO doesn't actually add files to the Skyrim folder, all my mods should work fine, right? Please tell me if I've gone insane, though admittedly, if it's unlikely that this will work I'm probably never playing Skyrim again... I can't deal with installing all this junk again.

lol you have not gone insane. As long as you do not delete the skyrim folder and do not delete the mod organizer folder all of your mod stuff will still be there and all the information as to how you organized it will be there as well. I've done this myself. At times I have had to go back into the general settings in mod organizer, and then tick the advanced box and reset the directory for the downloads folder and the mods folder for whatever reason, then I had to reinstall the utilities such as test5edit, the fnis patcher, dsr patcher and stuff. but the mods themselves and everything that I did to them were fine. Whatever you do, do NOT delete the mod organizer folder or anything in it if you want everything to remain the same. Also, I have a different path for my download folder. I keep all archives on an HDD and all the unpacked mods on my ssd where the game is. So I have to make sure not to delete that stuff too.

And in the tutorials I show to put mod organizer in the skyrim folder itself. So if you have done that, make sure that you do not delete anything that has to do with mod organizer.

For the ENB. You have made sure to install the ENB binaries that are specific with each ENB? Some Binaries will not work with certain ENB's (so im told).

Yeah, I did the ENB stuff correctly, I'm still not sure what the issue is with that. I was updating an older version of Serenity ENB to the newest, so I had to update my ENBseries files as well and after that is when my issues developed.

Thankfully I am doing something similar to your system, I keep all my downloaded files in a separate folder with the same organization scheme as I use in MO, and MO's files are in a third location, so MO should be completely unaffected. I'll give this a try later tonight and see how it goes.

Well, MO is working fine, but my ENB problem is still not solved.....damnit. Anyway, thanks for the advice.
