Will you fix this mod for the special edition? I use it on my special edition but the LOD is glitchy your mod does something to the distant brick textures on places like solitude and whiterun making flashing textures due to an overlap of multiple textures. I know this mod is made for Vanilla but I had to try it on special edition anyway. As far as I can tell that texture bug is the only thing causing a problem as I have been playing with your mod on special edition for a while now.
Literally, this is one of my favorite Skyrim mods, I am so sad about this bug on special edition. The world feels so barren and bare without your mod.
I am so sorry. I am very honoured that this is one of your favorite Skyrim mods. the issue with the mod is the updated update.esm , and the lods. I do plan on making a remake of this mod of sorts. (a new mod , with the same goal) but I have to find the time first.
Sorry if this disappoints.
However there may still be hope. I would recomend looking into the lod generators for SSE and maybe that can help. Or use my mod but without any of the additional lod. that will work but will not feature any of the lod (so pop in may happen)
I love this mod, it's the only mod that works well with vanilla and I prefer just this. Instead of trying to cover up with so many mods. Thank you for this awesome mod!
I'm a long-time user of this mod, and I love it... but unfortunately, I think I needed to bump it from my load order. I'm finding too many places where it conflicts with too many other mods. Maybe it would work best on a vanilla install.
I used to use the old "no new assets" version, and there were some conflicts here and there, but I disabled stuff in the console where I could. I really wanted to try the latest version which has some new features. I love the additions to many areas... so much more flavour!
Sadly, especially with the newest versions of the mod, there are just too many issues. Floating trees, gaps in the terrain, floating chunks of terrain, and lots of conflicts with other mods (which is not C0331's fault). Finally, I just found that I was spending too much time noticing this stuff and trying to take notes so I could edit them out of the .esp.
In terms of constructive criticism, I think this mod is a bit too ambitious. The newest version makes so many tiny edits in so many areas that it's inevitable that you'll find conflicts. These incidental tweaks, with random trees added or shifted around, or terrain slightly reshaped, are the things that are least noticed by the player, but seemingly the most likely to cause issues. Perhaps a "greatest hits" edition with mostly just the big changes... or a more modular version?
At the same time, there are so many things it adds that are great, and so many changes to certain areas for the better. It's a hard one to cut from my load order. I may go back to the 'no new asset' version, but I'll miss some of the features from the newest one.
I'm excited to hear that you're working on a revised new edition, and I'll be watching for it! Hopefully it'll work a bit better in my game.
Have to agree with you there, this can only be used on a vanilla game especially in snowy areas. Every time i alter anything i'm left with the edges of snow drifts sticking up everywhere making it nearly impossible to add mods without spending hours editing the esp file. Such a pity as it's a great mod.
I am sorry about that. The ''new'' version does not use new assets. I droped that idea as no one liked them and I even grew to find them not very fitting.
It should work a bit better , but there will be conflicts.
The truth about this mod is that it was made for me , I felt that skyrim needed a facelift and no one else had done anything like it that I could see. so I fixed up the ulgy bits but over time I edited nearly every single cell.
If I was more profesional about it I would have done it in tiny chunks.
I will look into it. However there are a few issues.
The first one would be that the mod is built around the idea of having a new lod. And on top of that it will conflict with the new update file.
Thats not to say I wont do anything like this in the future , I do indeed have plans. but I have a few projects to finish before (such as the new falkreath creek that is nearly finished)
Of course all my mods that will be on SSE will be ported to XB1 (and ps4 when possible) because no gamers should be left behind , however I could see this mod caussing issues with performance.
I'm using your mod along with Skyrim Landscape Overhaul Stone Walls. For some reason the stone walls that you have added in this mod stay as vanilla regardless of my load order. This means I have a mix of stone walls, some are vanilla and others are changed by the Skyrim Landscape Overhaul Stone Walls mod. Do you know why this might be happening?

Skyrim becomes a lot more boring without it.
Still the incompatibilities are just too many.

Thank you
I will get on that ASAP
