That's rather untrue and very cruel to say to a new modder. " Please upload some pictures of your work or nobody will download your mod." People will download mods if they like the idea of it, images or no images.
I don't wanted to sound rude, but in my experiences it IS true. I have seen a lot of those comments saying: "No pics, no clicks". I'm sorry, but that's how it is.
I beg to differ. A lot of the times, pics are not needed for a mod. The 'No pics, no download' rule is a stupid one that everyone blindly follows.
Yes, people won't download something without pics because they want to know what it looks like. But isn't that what you will be doing ingame, seeing what it looks like?
Putting up pictures is nice, but not always needed
"A lot of the times, pics are not needed for a mod" yes but for a RE-Texture mod it helps a lot people won't take the time or risk to download just for the sake of it people wan't to see the what the changes look like its not harsh its good advice to ask for pics and if the modder wants his mod to do uploading pics is well worth his time.
Is it really so hard to just upload some pics? I mean come on man. What if this does something we don't want it to do, aka a joke mod, and we have nothing to go on.
Regardless, saying "Please upload some pictures of your work or nobody will download your mod" or "worthless without pictures" is a lie and just stupid to say to a modder. They may not know how to work the Nexus properly, they may have just uploaded the mod and haven't had time to post a screenshot, or maybe they're a new modder uploaded their first mod.
Instead of whinging, you could have download the mod in five seconds, take a screenshot and then upload it to the mod so others realise what it is.
The 'No pic, no click' mob mentality is just getting old. But as I once read, 'No brain, no vain.'
@TaeRai It was only an advice of me. Like I've said, I don't wanted to sound rude and I don't get it why you start to insulting me for giving an advice to a, like you've said, NEW modder. Do you think Cabal's textures were so popular if he hadn't uploaded some pictures of his work? I don't think so. And I don't think that it's my job to upload pictures of NyanKittys work. He/She wants to 'sell' it to the people, not me. But I see, to discuss this topic is senseless, because it seems that you don't understand what I am talking about.
I for one dont download anything without a pic that isnt self-explanatory... if i cant really see an example of what the mod does, and it isnt someting simple like a color change or a non-visual tweak? i dont download.

Sounds interesting though, so I will track.
