Made my own patch for Bugs101 which includes more fixes and actually bringing all new ingredients to true vanilla level and it includes every possible version(low res, high res, normal spawn, high spawn), so anyone can use it if they wish:

blast0r, did you change only a price values of ingredients or their power too? In my opinion in the original 101bugs mod some ingredients is too owerpowered. Is it possible to make power of new ingredients to their vanilla analogues?

    Sorry for my English.

I love the extra insects from 83Willows 101BugsHD, but their alchemic power is too strong (not just the price). I too will love a version of this mod with a Vanilla option. Thanks for working on this project!
p.s. AND... I also support a reduced spawn version for each node. Luna moth explosions are pretty, but... :3

To be honest I think it would be better writing this mod as a replacer instead of a patch. This way users would not need to add another esp to their load order and since the BOSS masterlist gets updated so rarely it would also make sure that the mod gets sorted correctly.

Also if you do that please make sure to provide a file for people that use the low resolution file of willows mod too.

I looked at your values with tes5edit, they still seem kinda high imo. But I would not know how to bring everything in line with vanilla values and magnitudes. I don't know the vanilla counterparts stats.

Well, considering how much I've already reduced the values, I think I would need reasons to make further changes and list what benefits I could expect. (I use the mod, too!)

So far, it's definitely helped, although I think the remaining problem is the abundance of bugs. Perhaps a future version should reduce the spawn rate of each node by half? How much work is that?

Okay! The new version is up! Let me know how it works out! I'm currently working on a Solsthiem mod to add some simple berserkers to the island. (The other mod is a bit too much)

    How to

1 Load your patch and Willow's mod into TES5Edit. Add 101bugs as a master to your patch.

2 Expand the Ingredients group and mark all entries. Now apply a script.

3 With this script, you can change quickly all formID to the right ones.  It's called "Change load order of FormID"

    2tcz8oh6.jpg

4 In the pop up window, type in 01 because that's the load order of 101bugs.

    w623zcsk.jpg

5 Every entry should be in green font now. But there're some errors in the patch (because the Creation Kit deleted all references from 101bugs).
These are shown as <Error. Could not be resolved>
Go through all ingredients and search for this error. If you found one, drag and drop the record from 101bugs into your plugin.

That's all. Will take you 5 minutes, maybe 10 if you're not familiar with TES5Edit. Hope it helps.

That's strange. I thought that was taken care of by loading Willow's mod and then saving a patch - I guess I was wrong.

I could just start the mod over. What did I miss in setting up the mod?

Also - Can someone confirm my Realistic HearthFire resources works? I thought that one was taken care of because of the ESM dependancy.

You can only add a master in the Creation Kit if it's an ESM. ESP files won't work as masters, the CK doesn't save such dependencies. If you wan't to have an ESP as a master, you can do that in TES5Edit.

What Ablaze666 said is true. I always wanted to use willows bugs mod but I never did because the alchemy ingredients where so overpowered. If you manage to bring willows ingredients in line with the vanilla magnitude and value then I'll gladly download the mod.

Okay - I come from Morrowind where ESPs can depend on ESPs.

So I'll need to use tes5edit to add the master manually - I've never done this, but I will get it done soon.

Your plugin has no dependency on the original mod so it won't work. You should add 101Bugs as a master in TES5Edit and change the formIDs of your edited ingredients to the formIDs of 101Bugs. Otherwise the game will not use your edits.

^ This. In order to set dependency you need to either flag the original mod as an esm and then pull what you need out of it and flip it back, or create a replacer esp. Considering how long its been since it was updated and the little issues it has (like not working with the mount pick up in Convenient Horses) I would recommend a replacer. Which is perfectly legit as long as you keep the need for the original unique bits. Though I would recommend contacting 83Willow as a courtesy.
