Btw, managed to get it working in SSE. Tried the usual of running it through nif optimizer, and it reported some texture problems, something that have already been reported here. Then just to make sure, ran it through Cathedral Assets Optimizer, chose textures and meshes and full optimization on both, and...it worked! At least apparently, will report any unusual activity and possible issues, but played a solid hour with it, no CTDs.
How did you manage to get it working? I'm trying to use it as a replacer for SSE's scimitar and NifSkope keeps showing it as untextured, as if the texture reference isn't being read...
I tried, extracted the scimitar files, and it has nothing in it that is selectable by nif optimizer. Just a bsa and a esp file. cant do anything from there.
I finally got it. Run Cathedral Assests Optimizer, what I did was save a copy of the mod to my desktop, unzip the file, in CAO I clicked open directory and open your scimitar folder on both mesh and texture, then click run. Not sure if that even does anything, but the next thing I did was go to the BSA tab, clicked extract BSA, create BSA and create the least BSA possible and create dummy plugins, then click run. Then I took the ESP from the scimitar folder, and the NEW BSA from the scimitar folder, and just copy-pasted them into the Data folder under Skyrim Special Edition. Boom, worked for me.
Not sure if both steps were necessary, but that's what I did.
Its a shame that this scimitar doesnt work on Special Edition :(( it causes CTD :( awesome work by mr Frank though!! even seeing it makes me want to return to Oldrim only because of this mod!!
really enjoyed this - using the swords with the Cossack style robes from a witcher mod available on the nexus, also brilliant with Hothtroopers Redguard/Arabic style armor and the Ottoman Janissary Headgear from Mr.Bobs armory.with the Ottoman/Mughal Empire style shields.
